Finally got around to try out College Dropout. Had it delivered, so I can’t say much about the atmosphere, but the service and delivery was quick.nnOrdered the Parties In L.A, Chicken is King, and house fries. Straight off the bat, these were absolute top notch. A lot of venues use these Martin’s buns, but a lot of them are just not using them right, by filling trashy attempts in between the buns. Not these guys though! College Dropout has some seriously good burgers.nnI have never been a fan of smashed burgers, but I’m glad a tried out the Parties In L.A. Upon opening the box, you instantly get a nice hit of the fragrant beefy smell, add the fresh sweet tasting tomato, and the delicious disc of onion, between that awesome bun, just amazing.nnThe chicken breast fillet I received was massive and seasoned so well that it makes the Colonel look amateur. Crispy, fresh, spicy just straight up wicked! Though I would say go a little less heavy on the seasoning and a bit more lettuce would be ace!nnChips were legit crispy, double or maybe triple fried. Tasty seasoning, reminded me of nacho doritos! Highly recommended.nnOverall, probably the best burger I have tried in the Northern burbs, thanks Team! Definitely be ordering again.
got to try out college dropout burger's version of raising canes and i was very impressed!! nnfirst of all, i do commend them on their service especially having so many customers!n—————————————nwe got 4 boxes of the small “raised on ye” march special which is based on the iconic raising canes box in the states!n$16, 8.5/10nchicken tenders:n- such good chicken oh my like the 4 boxes we had, everyone had such crispy chicken and we loved that the inside of the chicken too was moist and juicy!n- definitely not your typical kfc chicken tenders so i really enjoyed itnnsauce:n- this sauce was delicious like sometimes when you put too much sauce on food, it does feel a bit sickening but this was so enjoyable!n- i kept finding myself double and triple dipping my chicken as it was just such a great complement being a peppery and kinda spicy mayo!nnfries:n- very crispy fries and i loved the seasoning too although i felt like it wasn’t too unique!nnbread:n- amazing flavours, i really enjoyed the garlicky butter flavourn- however, our bread was not crispy so that was a let down :n—————————————noverall, this is a really delicious dupe of the raising canes box and make sure to check it out as this is only a march special !!
The burgers are really something else here with a great collection of different styles weather you want beef or chicken both are legitimately great.nnHad their namesake burger and was not disappointed the chicken fillet seasoning is very addictive and the flavours all really worked well together.nnThe burger fries are a meal by themselves and really do have the Big Mac esque taste you really can’t stop once you start.nnRound it all out with a thick shake and you really do have yourself an epic meal time.
One of the best burgers I’ve had in Melbourne. College Dropout definitely hold the throne for smashed burgers. Packed with flavour and great variety of different burgers to choose from. Look forward to my next visit !
Food was lacklustre and didn't live up to the hype that everyone on social media was making it out to be. Seasoning should be optional on the fries, was overwhelming. Service was a tad slow but it's expected from a new store overcoming the hype.
