My shopping experiences at coles Toowong have been positive most of the time. However, this employee rudely interrupted me when I was looking at two items at the frozen section and have no customer service perspective. I first grabbed two items with different flavours and thought I might put one back while I am looking at the other flavours so that the frozen item is not exposed to room temperature for too long. He came along assuming me not putting the item to the correct flavour, even though I put one back to where I first grabbed it and while I was standing there looking at one item. Not sure whether he's having a bad or just picking up on someone looks weak. I put the item I was looking back to the "right flavour" on the shelf and don't even want to buy it anymore.
Generally, Coles is cheaper than Woolworth, with more products on discount. Also, Coles’ seafood and vegetables are better than Woolworth and cheaper. Other meats products are not that different. Only pre made food and dairy products, Woolworth tastes better. Have been to this Coles for many years. And I will still come here to buy groceries now and than.
My favourite Coles in Brisbane, so conveniently located in Toowong Village next to the Toowong Railway Station. I am a big fan of the pick and mix selection for a healthy snack of dried fruit and nuts, and the self-serve medjool dates in the fresh produce department.

Yayh, woolies is open and love walking past coles and seeing how quiet it is in there, no more monopoly in that shopping centre. Worst supermarket I have ever been in as far as checkouts go. This has happened several times, got in early to get a full trolley load of shopping, no one at the checkout. Asked for some one to put it through as I am not going to put a full shop through the self service. We have sent some one on a break, or it's our rostering is their stock answer. Rubbish!!! The management there have no regard for people who require assistance especially the elderly. I am not elderly by the way but want the right to assistance instead of being pushed into this self service mode which only helps this greedy owner. Even when it is busy there are only minimal checkouts open with queues of people waiting. I have never been in any other Coles in which the service has been this poor. Never again. I left my trolley full of goods for them to replace in the isles which would take them much longer to do than serve me at the checkout.
Large store with good varieties of groceries. Mostly busy. Friendly staff and excellent service. Fresh vegetables, fruits and tasty bakery items and more. My usual shopping spot.
I shop at this store frequently. It has an excellent range of goods available which are restocked regularly - with COVID impacting some lines. The store has a very good range of fresh meats and a large range of dairy goods. The main highlight of the store for me is the excellent staff. They are always courteous and professional - despite busy times putting them under pressure - and happy to help you find things or answer your questions. The staff make this Coles a five star store for me.
Selection of food but it ends there !! Did an evening shop all the checkout lanes closed & self service was busy with customers - some struggling with trolleys of food not knowing where to fit it on the small baggage area.. so I bring my basket to the other checkout area.. there’s a guy purple hair leaning up against the wall comes over “is that 12 items..” I said not sure.. “if it’s over 12 items I can’t serve you” nobody is waiting behind me.. he leans back up against the wall.. I ask if there’s any of the checkout lanes open !? “No You can use self service over there”. I ask do I get a discount for checking myself out ? “Nope!” So I’m still paying the service charge to check myself out? Is that correct.. I get no reply.. he looks the other way!! Coles has had my loyalty over 20 years now but this particular supermarket really peed me off.. All I could think of was the happy feeling I got whenever I visited Aldi on the rare occasion.. At least there you get what you pay for
I choose Coles Toowong for my weekly shopping..It is close from my place and it has various stuffs for my need...Since it is locate in Toowong Village, before and after shopping I can go to another place to shopping, such as K-Mart or go to library. And also it has large parking space and free for 2 hours..Nice..
Decent store but honestly they're probably starting to lose out to the new woolworths which is absolutely amazing!
