Love my local Coles. Great product range. Bakery is good and can slice your own loaves. Everything is fresh and well stocked. Staff are friendly. One of the staff, Joy, is amazing. She did my check out for me when I had sprained both my hands and now we have a quick chat every time I go in. This was my first time in the shop and she helped me more than she could ever know having just moved after a long term relationship breakdown and she provided kindness that I really needed. They have a large amount of self check and larger self check aisles but the staff are always happy to help. A great example of a community Coles.
Coles Norwood is our regular shopping destination, but I'm so disappointed with the mess we've been finding lately on the shelves, which is making it harder to find products.
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the recent condition of the Coles Norwood store.nI have been a loyal customer for many years; however, I have noticed a significant decline in store presentation and stock availability. The shelves are frequently untidy and poorly stocked, particularly on Saturday mornings when I complete my weekly shop. On several occasions, large sections have been empty, making it difficult to purchase basic items.nI am also concerned about what appears to be a lack of effective overnight restocking. If nightfill operations are in place, they do not seem to be meeting expected standards. Today’s experience was particularly disappointing. I was required to repeatedly ask staff to retrieve items from the storeroom, which should not be necessary during standard trading hours.nMost concerning was the presence of shattered glass in the freezer section, where a bottle of juice had exploded and left glass fragments across the pizza area. This presents a serious safety risk to both customers and staff. It was also notable that the pizza section itself was mostly empty.nAs a long-term customer, I find this decline in standards extremely frustrating. There needs to be improvement in store presentation, stock management, and safety practices. I will be shopping at Foodland from now on.
I have a really shitty neck injury and I've been faffing about with a neck brace on. A lady/angel who works in the store came and helped me check out and packed all of my bags for me also, great range - clean store - good vibes but whoever that lady was - she needs a raise!
Coles is open for business after the mixed development project! Supermarket looks so spacious and lot of room in-between the aisles. Some of the self checkout scan and pack counters are looking like the normal checkout registers that sales assistants usually serve and don't be surprised if other customers come and unload their groceries on the conveyor belt for you to scan those for them ;-nnBetter if they can add some greenery! Some trees and plants to dim the all new concrete look!! Plenty of car parking available here.nI have some more videos to upload, but unfortunately google maps not allowing me to upload photos at the moment. I have to give full access to my gallery, I have given selective access to the iphone photo gallery and that doesn’t seem to work! Google maps keep asking for full access!
