Always a pleasant experience… until tonight, when I got a surprise feature in Coles: Law & Order.nnI wandered in at the utterly scandalous time of 9:53 PM on 27/07/2025—just five minutes before closing, clearly marking me as a dangerous repeat offender. Not one but two visits from your very enthusiastic security guard followed. The first was a fair, if icy, reminder. The second? An unexpected plot twist: a threat to call the police. For shopping.nnApparently, lingering near the eggs and instant noodles aisle at 9:56 PM now qualifies as felony behavior. Honestly, I must’ve missed the memo that Coles is now a high-security zone after 9:45.nnOf course, I proceeded to commit the unthinkable: finishing my shopping, calmly paying, and leaving by 10:00 PM on the dot. I even had the audacity to call him out for the threat—because if you're going to star in a late-night retail thriller, you may as well deliver a good closing line.nnLook, I get it—retail is exhausting I’ve worked in it my entire life. Closing shifts are rough. But there’s a big difference between wrapping up the day and treating paying customers like they’re trying to smuggle contraband in the frozen peas. Might be time for a quick team chat on how to de-escalate instead of starring in a one-man security theatre performance.nnWas tempted to leave a zero-star review if only that were a thing, but I’ll restrain myself. Avoid. Typical contempt foe Western suburbs. No registers. Only self checkout. They don't give a damm about the elderly.
Been to plenty of different Coles and Woolworths but this little Coles always seems to have very nice pleasant workers. Don’t know how to do it but I wish the store was a bit bigger.
Not sure why a young girl assisting on the check out. Thinks it's ok to suck on a lollipop while working. Where's her manager. It does not matter where we work abit of professionalism goes a long way.
Who has let a young girl who obviously didn't give a **** about customer service to look after the self check-out? She was unfriendly, rude and talked to me, a paying customer, like I was begging her for free food. I thought some Woolworths staff members at Sunshine Market Place were rude, untill I came to this Coles.
