The staff here are generally great and do their best, but it's hard to escape the view that Coles have completely lost interest in this location. Until very recently, getting a trolley was about as likely as getting tickets to a Taylor Swift concert. The over-abundance of self-serve checkouts reinforce the notion that Coles certainly don't trust, but actually really don't like their customers. Re-stocking of shelves seems a low priority. It's a shame because the location is great. Someone with a genuine interest in the grocery business could make an absolute killing. Coles, by contrast, are just taking up the space.
Apparently the worst performing Coles in Victoria… and it shows… little selection of items and often shelf sections empty… some patrons are homeless and come into eat food in the aisles… car park upstairs is dark… and that’s in the day time… quite a few people begging on street outside… and they can be a bit persistent
There are many things. Hot food, fresh products, frozen food, drinks, necessities and toys. There is self-service payment. However, there is not a trolley for shoppers many days. The prices of some goods are more expensive than Coles in city center.nProbably because Coles Footscray is the only local supermarket in Footscray. No other major competitor nearby. The detectors sometimes display the wrong prices of discounted items. Read them carefully.nnThe photo I took is the entrance of the building which you must get through to Coles. Coles is inside the same floor.
“Try It. Love it. Or Your Money Back.” satisfaction guarantee is a JOKE. Went to exchange but not allow. Throw the products into the bin. The staff there never allow for refund or exchange for their faulty too
I really like this store. It feels very spacious upon entering, and the staff are always so friendly. The produce always seems fresh, and the shelves are always stocked for my needs. The only downside about it is some of the clientele it gets sometimes - thieves, people on drugs, etc. It's not a regular occurrence, and the security is always alert, so there is nothing to fear. It's just when you see it, sometimes it diminishes the shopping experience, other times it's a great story to tell. I like this store very much, it's just that I wish it were in a better location.
