I was really disappointed to find out this Coles Shopping Centre now requires a $2 coin or trolley token to use a trolley, yet there are barely any trolley bays on some floors—sometimes none at all. I had to go down multiple levels just to find a small bay that barely fits a few trolleys just to get my token back. If you're going to make people pay for a trolley, there should be accessible trolley bays on every floor.nnI’d hate to think about parents or single mothers who have kids to load into the car, only to then have to search multiple levels just to get their $2 back. This setup feels like a cash grab, and it’s just not good enough.nnOther than that, I can usually find what I need at Coles, although I don’t do all my shopping at mainstream stores and try to support local businesses. One more thing, though—they need to have more tellers open for people. Everything is self-service, and it’s tough to use those small self-service stations when you have a big trolley. The larger self-checkout areas were closed, and with long queues, it’s not practical. This all needs improvement!
I had an incredibly upsetting experience at Cole's Bankstown central supermarket recently. While I was waiting in line to pay for my groceries, I was verbally abused by another customer. This individual was yelling and calling me derogatory names, and became increasingly aggressive.nnWhen the store manager, Jason, arrived, I hoped for assistance or intervention. Instead, he simply told me to pay for my items and leave, with no support or attempt to de-escalate the situation. I was left feeling extremely unsafe and unprotected, especially given that the aggressor was much larger and more physically imposing than me. I was disappointed by the lack of care or concern for my well-being, as the situation was clearly distressing.nnI would expect better customer service and support from a store that I frequent, and I hope management, including Jason, will reconsider how they handle such serious situations in the future.
Bought a box of price reduced health lab bars, 4 pieces , instead of full price $6 was reduced to $ 5.40 ...I was in a hurry, I thought they maybe reduced due to expiry date close ?, on closer inspection when I got to my car, I saw torn card board with sticky tape wrapped on the end, 2 of the 4 bars were missing. Immediately I went to Coles customer desk, only to be told rather flatly that the price reduction was good enough for the pre opened box, with 2/4 bars gone! C'mon Coles! Simply disgusting! Re selling opened and half eaten food! Only after my objection, did staff relent and allow me to go back and get a new unopened full box ... what the heck !!!
Its stocked and neat and tidy, however there are not many manned registers and the ones that have the conveyor belt self service are always roped off and not in service! I was in there at 12pm today 21/10/24 and none available for use! It's ridiculous and having the conveyor ones in service would in the long one mean more business! Or just convert them to manned checkouts!nnNow the trolleys are replaced by the coin ones. No everyone has a coin just on them. I used to do the first part of my shop there, will be rethinking that now!
On the 28th of October at 5.10 pm I had an unsatisfactory experience with the duty manager, Peter, regarding customer service. I called to inquire about the click-and-collect parking due to unclear signage. He responded rudely, interrupted me, and stated that I should call back once I located the parking, then abruptly hung up. This treatment raises concerns about how Coles customers are valued, especially in comparison to Woolworths' VIP customer service for online click and collect via drive-through service in Bankstown Central.
