I won't patronise an establishment that sees the exclusion of women as a business opportunity. I won't send my children there, I won't recommend it to my friends or anyone else for that matter. If this woman considers women to be special snowflakes, then they should have NEVER done hairdressing as a profession. Banning women from their business (except on "women one day a week Wednesdays"), is a shameful thing to do. I actually walk past this salon and try to hide myself in case anyone sees that I'm female. I thought the stone ages were gone, until I read this clap trap in their window. I won't go to a business that sees me as a second class citizen. Shame on them and double shame because a women is disrespecting other women in order to gain favour with male clients. I won't support a business that excludes women on the basis of gender. SIMPLE.

This salon has a sign in the window saying women can only come on Wednesdays. It's not only dehumanising, demoralising and pernicious, but the salon owner (who happens to be a woman) doesn't even "understand" the concept of how misogynistic her "little" sign actually is. A female misogynist is like a snake eating it's own tail. I wonder if people would react differently if the sign said Aboriginals, Muslims or Blacks were excluded and could only attend on Wednesdays?. I suspect there would be a public outcry of racism and rightfully so. However, it appears it's perfectly OK to exclude people on the basis of gender (How silly, I thought that was illegal but apparently it's not in Colac). I do not patronise businesses that exclude women or anyone else for that matter and whose proprietor uses the most flippant of excuses to justify her idiocy. What a puzzling advertising concept: Upset and alienate 50% of a potential customer base by way of exclusion. I strongly advise other women NOT to patronise a business that elevates the males and subjugates the females. There is a perfectly good walk in salon around the corner, that doesn't see females as an inconvenience and welcomes them anytime and not just when the Hairdressers feel like letting them in. Try that one instead.

I recently visited this salon in hopes that I’d be provided with great service however this unfortunately wasn’t the case. I had previously visited the salon and returned with a certain expectation, quite disappointing.
