Unfortunately we went to dinner here due to all the rave reviews of the food. We were stopping into Rockhampton for the night for my daughter surgery the following day. Thought we would go somewhere nice for dinner with the kids.nnKids got nuggets and chips, those were fine. I got the beef cheek, it was awful, tasteless and on a bed of mashed sweet potato, also flavourless with a side of overdone soggy vegetables. My husband got the pork belly which was very plain and the sauce it came with tasted like pure honey. Way too sweet with an extremely salty pork belly. His veggies were also soggy and way too overcooked. It wasn’t overly busy. We got a drink each. So for a family of five this cost us $160! Absolutely happy to pay that amount when the food is good, but unfortunately this wasn’t the case.nnThe staff were lovely and it was fairly quick service. However, due to the food we will not be back.
Great place to eat, good food, the steaks as well as the chicken. Nice to find a reccomodation for the wine to drink with the food. Service was fine too.
Been here two, Eggs Benny with bacon both times, great feed first time, not so happy second time. Will try something else next time and see if this could be a new Regular. Great service n atmosphere.
We went here for a morning tea function. Food was fresh and delicious and there was plenty to go around. Customer service was fantastic.nnOnly complaint were the flies.nPerhaps covering the food with fly-nets would be better. None of us wanted go back for seconds as the food was just riddled with them.nThank you, kind regards
Pork strips were incredible. Well done chef. A bed of sweet potato would be great if the budget allowed.
