Amazing staff and the food was great. The staff was very accommodating to us and went above and beyond with service. Can't wait to go back and eat more delicious meats! Also loved the dessert!Thank you so much for making it such a good night.
The advertised opening times are incorrect, so we got there early and saw dirty dishes stacked on the bar hopefully not from the previous night. The light fittings were covered with spider webs. Floor tiles were cracked and broken. The seats were greasy. The table was greasy and wobbly. The menus were greasy. The room temperature was far too hot. The wine was cool, not cold. The food was ok. The service was acceptable until we were given the bill for the wrong table. The female toilets were locked. Once unlocked they were riddled with cockroaches, so many that it was impossible not to tread on some. The handbasin was dirty. When we complained about the state of the toilets a staff member said they were disgusting and she won't use them. She uses the ones in the park. This is the dirtiest restaurant we have ever been to, including ones overseas. Less than 1 star rating.
Wow. Poor customer service, SLOW service and basically a major let down. There were 4 tables in the entire restaurant, yet they were unable to give any reasonable level of service. We had no idea what most of the staff were even doing as they appeared to simply stand around and chat. The meat was of poor quality with excessive fat and grissle. Do not recommend.
Good food and exceptional service. The waiter/barman went above and beyond to make our night, with particular care on keeping our 3 year old happy. The wife loved the cocktail too.
Plastic tables, plastic chairs and non-existent service are the hallmarks of this place. Churrasto was $45/head and was a fair price for the quality of the food. Service and atmosphere was absolutely atrocious. Seated at 7.30pm and was eventually seen to at 8.25pm, waited a further 45minutes for a main, whilst the others in our party of 3 started on the Churrasto, at least a 30minute wait per round of Churrasto and about the same wait for drinks. The show was nothing extravagant 2 dancers did two sessions of about 8-10 minutes each. So many better places around that you'd have to be desperate to take a table here....be warned that the Manager runs both establishments in this building so I can only imagine that the Arabian restaurant next door suffers the same shortfalls. Overall 1.5 out of 5
We went to Coco Banana a year back when on a previous visit to The Entrance & it was the same this year. Quite but then it was a Thursday night. The meat was great but I'm not so sure about the sides. We were charged $12.50 more for the bottle of wine $35 but when challenged this was corrected. Was this an honest mistake? Probably not but so be it This doesn't encourage return visits.
Booked 2 weeks early and they had no record of it and then rather ungraciously we were put on a makeshift table outside the kitchen with plastic tables and chairs with no tablecloth which was a little wierd as there was a table at the window which was vacant all night, drinks service was non existant and the food was terrible, dried up, gristley and rushed. for $55 a head I expected a lot better. Then to top it off the disinterested guy whom I presume was the host was rude and accused me of lying about the poor drink service. Thanks for stuffing up my son's birthday celebrations. I would never recommend anyone go to this venue and possibly suggest some hospitality courses may be in order. Why do I have to give it a star to leave a review when it doesn't deserve one.
Coco Banana has never disappointed my family and I. The food is always fresh, service quick and portions well worth the price. On Friday nights we have experienced the entertainment provided on the dance floor. Located right on the water, you cannot go wrong with the views.
Unfortunately, i had to give a star in order to post a review, but i wish i could have left it blank. One of the worst places i have been in a LONG time. Don't bother wasting a night in this dull, boring, cafeteria themed "restaurant". No atmosphere, miserable staff, disappointing meals, boring menu, dirty glasses and cutlery...I dread to think what state the kitchen is in if they can't even clean cutlery properly. I wanted to send my meal back it was so bad but the wait staff didn't check on us until it was time to pay the bill...Awful.
After reading the majority of bad reviews I did not have high hopes about eating at Coco Banana for a friends birthday, but I was pleasantly surprised. We started the night with drinks, these were delivered to our table very promptly. As a group of about 10 we all selected banquet one which was $45 for all you can eat, the meats were perfectly cooked and we did not have to wait long at all for the waiters to begin coming around with the meat on big skewers to cut off from. The meat was perfectly marinated, the only one that was not the best was the pork belly, it was a bit rubbery and just didn't have the right texture that perfectly cooked pork belly should have. Also the "Brazilian Beer" on the drinks list was "Cintra" which is a Portuguese beer. I am happy to pay $9.00 for a beer if it adds to the rich culture of the night but this seemed a bit odd. You are not just paying for the food here, you are paying for an experience, I can imagine that Brazilian food would not generally be your first choice when thinking about a night out for dinner, so really I was not fussed about the price. In the end it was an enjoyable night out with great entertainment and food.
