CDG was established in 1923 by Dr Victor French Snr. We provide comprehensive dental care with the most up to date equipment and techniques including laser dentistry, The Wand local anaesthetic system, aneasthetist supervised sleep dentistry and children dentistry.
We have 26 highly trained, friendly staff.
We are open 6 days a week and we welcome new and emergency patients everyday.

Exceptional welcome to dentistry for my 3yo. Vicky explained everything carefully to my son so that he felt comfortable and informed of what was happening. She was engaging, gentle and really friendly. Felix want afraid at all and I think he even had fun! Looking forward to coming back. I know this experience will set him up for feeling positive about going to the dentist for the rest of his life!

After years of anxiety about going to the dentist I took the Sleep Dentistry path and had a couple of crowns and fillings done. Meredith (the dentist) and Danny (the anaesthetist) were empathetic and very professional. I'm not so anxious about my 6 month checkups anymore.

I have been visiting this practice for years and can highly recommend all the staff. They are all very knowledgeable,  caring and professional. Likewise, all my children have had great experiences there.

I was in agonising pain for almost 24 hours from an infected molar - the pain had gotten worse throughout the night and spread across the right side of my face - making sleep impossible. Awake and anxious, I frantically searched online for emergency dental services in Melbourne. Thankfully I found Coburg Dental Group in my local area. They answered my call at 8am and booked me in for an appointment right away. Within an hour, I was being treated by Dr James who relieved me of my pain. He was calm, polite and professional. His calm energy made me feel reassured. He first took the time to understand my concerns from a patient's POV and - after examining my mouth and temporarily easing my pain with anaesthetic - he clearly explained my situation from his professional POV. Dr James involved me in the decision making process and did not force me to choose an option that he thought was best - he put my wishes first. He didn't use complicated words, he explained everything by drawing a diagram. As a visual learner, this really helped me to understand him. He outlined my options and was honest about the associated costs, which are extremely affordable. Sure, the space is a bit outdated compared to more modern clinics, but to be honest I quite liked this - Coburg Dental Group is not about aesthetics. From my short experience there, I saw that they had a real patient focus and that's what matters most. A huge thank you to Dr James and his friendly team!
