Pretty good food, decent coffee, friendly staff and nice decor. One of our go-to spots for brunch when we’re up on the coast. Only downside I would say is sometimes the wait for food can be really long over half an hour when they are particularly busy.
To sit there was nice and airy with its large open windows, staff where on point with service. They had Campos coffee which I'm not a big fan of, its a coffee that lacks body, and the cup size was rather small. Had eggs Benedict with salmon, but on Turkish, was good, and was a 30 min wait for food, to be honest it was 20min, but was nice to have notice of time for food. With that said, its not convinced me to return as a place of, "Hey let's come back again.!" Its really only geared up for local trade which is a good thing for them and the community.
Great little cafe with decent prices and decent food. I would only visit on a weekday as it’s a 15% surcharge on weekends which is a bit steep. The movies are markets are next door which is great.
Delicious food and excellent coffee. Staff friendly and attentive. Good seating options - street frontage, inside or in a garden setting out the back. Very enticing cake and slice cabinet - will definitely be back for more. I recently visited Coast 175 and had a delightful experience. The atmosphere was fresh and welcoming, with comfortable outdoor seating and a relaxed vibe - exactly what my group was looking for. It was also one of the few cafes in the area open on a Monday morning which I appreciated! To start, I ordered their berry smoothie, which was refreshing, chilled and packed with flavour. For my main meal, I tried their poached corn fritters with halloumi and bacon, which were absolutely delicious and perfectly filling. The fritters were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the combination of flavours was spot on, a must order if you visit! What really impressed me was the cafe's ability to accommodate my group of four adults and three children under the age of 10. We found a great table in the outdoor seating area which was spacious and comfortable for a group with sometimes noisy kids. The food came out quickly and were all great portion sizes. Overall, I highly recommend Coast 175 in Ettalong for their delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning in the future for another enjoyable dining experience. Definitely check it out if you are in the area! Kid-friendliness: Outdoor seating suitable for sometimes noisy children.
We visited for breakfast on the Tuesday after new year public holiday. It was busy and glad we got the table. It's a nice cafe and has a few seating areas. But, for $70 breakfast they charged more than what you actually get in food and service. It's fair to say the food is good/nice but everything else fell short. I got earl grey tea with a side of honey and almond milk. We were charged extra for the almond milk and honey. That's fair, but they never gave it. I had to go up and ask for it. They gave almond milk only after. I had to go up again 2nd time and ask for the honey. Hubby ordered the big breakfast and he never got his hash brown. I did bring this up to the staff and made sure the chef/cook is aware. I realise it's busy and the staff did actually tell me that was no excuse. And I agree with that. Back to the food. The deluxe brekkie looked more appetising than the big breakfast and cost way less! Hubby got food envy. He said he should've gotten that as he said his BB wasn't worth it. My avo smash on the other hand tasted good and came with 2 poached eggs for the price. However, it only came with one bread. Having said that I was full after that. We also ordered the cleansing juice which was refreshing. Would I recommend the cafe. Yes, it seemed they were genuinely apologetic and I hope they pick up their slack. But, there are other cafes in the area if you feel that $70 is a bit much for brekky/brunch and you may not get all you paid for and then go up to the counter to get what they forgot to give you...
Busy little cafe with a nice vibe. The staff were young and inexperienced and so the service was a bit inefficient and lacked a little “customer service”. However, very forgivable. The food was on the pricey side but good quality and very tasty. My only suggestions would be that the 15% weekend surcharge is pretty poor when the food is already above the average and for this reason I wouldn’t make it a regular. Also the back outdoor area was very nice but really hot on the day we went. A basic fan would make this tight space a lot more comfortable!
Indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely atmosphere. Long wait due to popular location but worth the wait. Breakfast was delicious.
