Story

Within our facility there are 15 Inpatient beds which provide a wide variety of acute medical, stabilisation, resuscitation and rehabilitation services, together with a specialised palliative care/family room. We also have a wide range of Community Services such as Occupational Therapists, District Nurses, Social Workers, Needs Assessment, an Outpatient Department and a primary Maternity Centre with birthing facilities. We also have a large General Practice suite located within our building.

Pathetic service. Never got a phone call back to make appt, well after 9am no phone calls follow up, instead told will be liable for casual fee and still same instructions will call back... most are right clutha vets provide better service. Overall nz health services are below average 1st world title with 3rd world service. Waiting waiting waiting pt is dead.

Called clutha health first to see if my 6 month old could get in for a check up, they transferred me to an online video call with a nurse who then checked my baby out via video call. After seeing how seriously sick he was she called Clutha health to explain that my baby was in urgent need of medical care and they turned him away and said he had to travel to Dunedin. Quite pathetic if you ask me .

Impatient ward is a joke. Nurses yelling at paitents, refusing to give you pain relief, leaving bandages way longer than they should be, no respect for the sick people in there. Have to admit there was two staff/ nurses who are amazing but shame the rest of the staff aren’t like them!

A shame.nnI arrived at 17:50 closing time 18:00 on saturday 29/3/2026 and they refuse to assist me : “we are sorry but we close at 18:00 and we will not have time to take care of you. If you go to Dunedin… “nnI tried to insist because I have been suffering a backache for two days and the pain was getting worse We are visiting NZ in Campervan but they did refuse to assist.nShame on them.

I would recommend these guys for any thing but medical care.
