1st time at the new club. Nice decor, but then it is new. Not too many people there for a Saturday night, but then it was a rainy evening... We had dinner with 4 dishes: seafood dish, salt and pepper calamari, beef Mignon and pork ribs. We asked for the calamari to be brought as an entree but all 4 were brought together so a little annoyed there. All dishes were pretty good, though I’m getting a little concerned at just how big the portions are becoming! I’d much rather a slightly smaller serving or have the option of a half portion. We all commented on this issue, which seems to be a problem wherever we go for dinner. No one at our table finished their meals. Just too much. A little less food, a little less $. I’m 99% sure most dishes have some food left over... Anyway, food was good, ambience is one of the usual club restaurant. Plenty of room
Re introduction to the old Parramatta RSL club, now known as Club Parramatta. Hasn't this place changed for the better. Choice of two restaurants and a decent sized bar for quick service. All open air inside with the sports bar at the far end with the restaurants down the other end. Open outdoors if this takes your fancy. Food served quick and very tasty with our table having a mix of the two menus. No one was disappointed with what they ordered. Undercover parking, that's a bonus on a hot day. Will come back again for the Australia day celebration menu that runs for the week.
The refurbishment is excellent and a great place to hang out with friends. Food and drink can be hit or miss and when it's good it's excellent, while it's the little things that let things down. On one occasion my wife wanted a cider, but it only comes in schooners Have they not heard of RSA? and I have had a few minor issues missing food items with otherwise great meals. Parramatta RSL has some great assets, wonderful ambience, courteous staff and a great range of craft beers at a very reasonable price. Just fix the niggles during busy periods and it would be perfect.
Good food, good atmosphere. Reasonably priced and amazing service. I come here almost every week. Good for family or just to have couple of drinks with friends. Highly recommend
Very cosy and relaxing. Fantastic decor, staff and service. Well priced meals. Love the two restaurants idea Asian and Western with old favourites with their massive portions. Will be back.
Beautiful atmosphere and layout. Really comfortable vibe and cozy. However, the food could be improved. The burgers had a very light bread, needed a nice sourdough bun. Further vegetables in dishes such as the lamb shanks which just had mash potatoes and 3 peas. So many positives just needed further improvement to make it amazing.
Food is very good and atmosphere is good, however, I had issues on leaving after being picked up by a cab, which I hope will be sorted in the short term for the elderly and disabled. I am on a walking frame The lady I spoke with was very nice, and had empathy for the situation I found mysef in, so prior to a drop off point outside the club for the disabled, elderly, and particularly taxis, being constructed, I trust something better will be put in place until that is completed.
Continually disappointed by this place with very average overpriced food and coffee. But visited again after a walk in the park and found a quiet spot to enjoy coffee and snack...only to have the sound turned up full blast for a football match. Along with 4 other groups, complained to the management, but told the quiet area sound was on the same circuit as the noisy area. Investigated and found the footballers had no less than 5 areas and 7 screens ... and the Club could easily have secured one area for members and guests who wanted a reasonably peaceful meal. Note.... this is NOT a football club...and all members ought to be considered by management
I was in the area and dropped in to see if we like the club and join member. The $16.5 for a 3 year membership is slightly higher than others. The food from Wokafella was appealing and it looks like a good place for eating and hanging out with friends. We parked at the carpark across the road and it was so dark even in the daytime. We saw there was another parking under the building but we were not sure if visitors could park there.
I was served wilted yellow rocket in the beetroot salad and when I asked them to replace it with another salad for fresher ingredients, they substituted three quarters of cherry heirloom tomatoes with very large cuts of ordinary tomato wedges without telling me. This is the second occasion they’ve done this first time was vegetarian pasta missing listed ingredients. Also, the salad was underdressed and the walnuts were rancid. Not acceptable for a nice venue that charges upwards of $20 for a plate of salad and over $25 for pasta. Nevertheless, my husband thought his chicken schnitzel was good. The conclusion is to avoid this place if you’re a vegetarian!
