What an amazing place! The service is impeccable and the food incredible in both taste and presentation. Having Coeliac disease, I required a gluten free meal. I felt absolute confidence when I was told there was a big reminder placed in the kitchen. Often substitutions provided in restaurants are less than appetizing, however I was provided with were very creative and tasty alternatives. The substitutions were presented in equally as beautiful a way and tasted great. Every staff member understood my requirements and were able to show we what I could and couldn't have. Thank you for a fantastic night!
The best dining experience I've had in my life. From the greeting at the door to the attitude of the Staff, from the first bite to the last, EVERYTHING worked in harmony to gain a 5 out of 5 from me. I've dined in Europe and all over the pacific, but this backyard treasure has outdone them all. Will definitely be dining there again with loved ones.
This has been my favourite restaurant for close to 20 years. The grounds are beautiful and just the thing you need to walk off the first 4 courses before the delicious desserts. The Beef Elizabeth is amazing and the Brandy Alexander Mousse is the best I've ever had. I'm extremely sad this place is closing and I want to thank everyone for there wonderful service to Berwick and beyond
This establishment is an institution in the Berwick area and I have dinned here many years ago and this time it was a special occasion for a loved family member which Clover Cottage fitted the requirement very well. The house is nestled in manicured and beautiful gardens which would only get better in the changing seasons and as the night falls with the light illuminating the garden making it a great special occasion venue. The menu has all the classic flavors starting with a great selection of soup then entrees and then the main buffet is presented to you. Showing an expectantly well presented food buffet by people expressing love, attention and care into their food with great full true flavors. Then you have the dessert buffet presented to you that again is a delight to the taste buds. The dining room is a classic and was not full on the night we were there as the price per person would steer people away as it would not suit the vibrant diners, but for old school charm in the outer eastern of Melbourne this is the place. We would dine here again and is a perfect place for a special occasion or a delightful night out.
My daughter had her wedding yesterday here and we were extremely happy with everything. Cannot praise you enough for making everything perfect! I have dined here before over past years and when she said she was having her wedding here I could not have been happier. Brilliant thank you all so much
Ill start of by saying if you ever even contemplate leaving this restaurant a bad review I believe you should check in for a mental illness evaluation. After my experience I believe all the feedback that isnt 5 stars is left by neighbouring restaurants due to pure jelousy with an attempt to diminish reputation. Ill start with the food as it is absolutely impeccable to the extent I believe you will struggle getting another restaurant to compare. Restaurant. Staged to fell like an old attorney generals house. Beautiful decor with comfortable seats and nice live piano music crating that perfect setting. They offer a 4 course meal. Starters - It was a mixture of sample sized portions ranging from fish to chicken to beef snd seafood served on a platter. The array of choices accommodated for all individual taste requirements. Entree A choice of 4 beautiful made soups. We opted to the pumpkin and duck soup. Seriously exqwizard sends beat soup I ever tasted. Main Well I could go on!!! This is a carvery which no other has to offer. Your personally invited to attend a buffett where the chef and the staff hand carve your meal from a massive array of gorgeous food offering duck, chicken,pork,plumb baked ham it goes on!!! Deserts. Mind blowing hand made selections again as your personally invited up to the buffett. My perosonal favorite the white choc mouse. Very suttle yey Extremely powerful on taste!!!! Drinks. Very well priced. Staff 100% know there job and do it well with a friendly smile and manner. Surroundings Seriously in between entree and main go and take a walk around the properties acerage and get some picture perfect images. I can not tell you how wonderful this place is, my parents told us about this place many years ago but I found it a bit hard to believe them, so we decided to give it a try and have returned at least 20 times since. Our last time was Christmas 2009 we decided to take our old neighbour. It is a night to remember everything is just perfect. Also attended a wedding there, they could not do enough for us Just perfect If you want a night to remember, Make it here We will be back A.S.A.P

We have worked with Clover Cottage for five years as the place for our Year 12 Valedictory dinner. Wonderful people to work with. John is very flexible with the menu to suit us. Such a special place .
just been to wedding of joe&jo... wonderful wedding of a lovely couple...but made so by the incredible surroundings, service of the staff, food and wine. clover cottage is a treasure of berwick. highly recommended
