Nice spot for young kids with all essential amenities like, BBQ, Picnic table, toilets, cafe and of course beach and water
Clontarf beach sea pool is located at Clontarf reserve and near the spit bridge Mosman. You can see the spit bridge from here. The pool is front of the playground. Plus free BBQ facilities. Make this spot ideal for families. The water was crystal clear and I enjoyed the swim ‍ at the end of clontarf beach is castle Rock reserve which leads to castle rock beach. Great atmosphere. Metered Park is $10 per hour, but a little further back you can find free parking
Clontarf’s netted tidal pool can be found smack dab in the middle of Clontarf Beach, overlooked by large lush lawns shaded by Norfolk Pines. It’s perfect for picnics and the place is buzzing with families doing just that, while plenty more hug the shoreline shallows of this calm and safe stretch of Sydney Harbour.nnWhen you swim out towards the shark net the delighted squeals of children fade into the background and you can relax and take in the beautiful surrounds of bobbing boats and sunny skies. It’s all very civilised and genteel, as you’d expect from this well-to-do North Shore neighbourhood. The ample car park $10 per hour is packed with Teslas and Beemers, while the Bosk Clontarf kiosk serves fancy bowls, upmarket burgers and kombucha.nnThis is definitely one of the better harbour tidal pools and the facilities are all first-rate. We’ll be filling this one under “worth returning to”.
Very nice reserve, been here a few times and it has always been enjoyable. Very good for families with smaller kids in the fence off net pool area. Parking this time was amicable, but hefty, if possible park on the outer skirts. Also the reason why I've provided a 4 star is the showers, the boys side had 1 blocked off, so it was challenging for the kids getting changed.
A great family oriented reserve with cafe and nearby dog beach. Has a covered play ground, kiosk with a new menu, toilets and one or two picnic sheds. Always very clean. Some off street parking but this can be an issue during summertime. Water station to refill bottles if you are doing a walk.
