Placed an online order, got the confirmation email, money taken from my account. Went to pick the pizza up. The peanuts have closed the shop, haven’t they. Didn’t worry about updating Google or anything. That’d be too easy. Was able to get a hold of someone for my money back at least.
Fast, friendly service. A range of unique boutique beers - not found anywhere else in town. The Mismatch Session Ale is definitely recommended. My partner and I ordered the two pizzas named after the proprietor's daughters. The Polly had a generous covering of fat, juicy prawns, while the Annabelle was a delicious combination of pepperoni, feta, caramelised onion and BBQ sauce. Will certainly return.
5 people for lunch today! Waitress took our order. 40 mins later she's serving lunch to customers who arrived 20 mins after us and said "where's your food?". Um, you tell us love! Still waiting.Finally received lunch for 1 of us, 3 pizzas came intermittently over next 10 mins. One order was for an entree and a main. Entree part of it came 15 mins after the main. Last order didn't appear until 1 hour after initial order. Pretty sure they forgot to put our order through. Young staff insolent and rude. Totally stuffed up the bill. We had 3 meal deals but they admitted they must have put orders through as separate items!!! Even though food was good, service was very poor. Won't be wasting my time by revisiting. Staff need training in hospitality and how to smile.
Best place to go out in Mackay to socialise or for a feed, the really Friendly and helpful staff can also help organise any birthday parties.
Ordered Margarita Pizza with extra anchovies and olives....just the best pizza I have ever had, crispy base and full of flavour. Service was pleasant and nice decor. Would recommend anytime.
We have been a few times now and absolutely love Claudies. Under new management of a local family and very friendly people. Yummy food that is reasonably priced. A relaxed vibe and located in the Mackay city. My favourite thing is that kids are welcome.
We have made Claudies our weekend breakfast tradition as well as occasional lunches. Breakfast standards are on the menu - omelette, benedict, French toast, etc, but personal fave is a hearty hot pot with bacon and chorizo. The pizzas are very good and the burgers are to die for. We can highly recommend ordering a bunch of the snacks and sides to have a table of grazing with a few drinks or a long lunch. The house white is great and half the price of many other restaurants. If you like tasting new things, ask for the home made spring rolls. They are packed with flavour and come with two dipping sauces. The venue is in the CBD but plenty of parking. There is a bar and pool table as well as a comfortable outdoor lounge area so good for after-work drinks and lazy weekends. Two of the city's best baristas brew great coffee too, which is why we make it a Saturday morning tradition.
Staff here are very friendly and accommodating. A recently installed projector now shows live sports on weekends. There was a live solo acoustic act on when I was there which was great. Well worth checking out.
