Story

Opened in 1997, The Classic has become a cornerstone of the local comedy industry, the place where careers are made, and a launch pad for many of our local comedy stars. You can generally rely on The Classic sticking to a regular programme with Monday Raw Comedy (open mic), Fresh comedy night on Big Wednesday, Pro-comedy showcases at 8pm on Thurs/ Fri & Sat plus Weekend Late & Live shows, Fri & Sat at 10-30pm. There is a comprehensive Gig Guide on the website.

We attended the all-star night and loved it. The comedians were great. The bar staff were welcoming. It got a little hot in that small room but that's to be expected in the middle of summer. Overall was a great night and if you have a ticket to that show you can go to the late night show at ten for only $5 which is a nice way to extend your night.

Awesome venue. Went on Friday night for date night with my beautiful wife and we had the most laughs we've had in ages. The line up was outstanding as was our hostess. Highly recommended

I go to the club for the live comdey and atmosphere. The staff are great. It's a busy place when it's rocking. Theres plenty on the menu and more than enough drinks available to suit your tastes. To be fair it's not a flash place but then again I'm interested in the laughs and not the colour of the walls. I love it there

Absolutely amazing service, beautiful staff and full on belly laughs. I would come back again but i'm dead from laughing so hard the first time!
