Been coming here for years. A while ago I got told off cause my deadlifts were making too much noise. The manager compared me to some other women who were powerlifting - doing maybe a rep every 15 minutes and gassing it up the rest of the time - like it was a fair comparison. I mean is this a library or a gym?nnAnyway, yesterday I watched the head PT finish on the bench press with his client, and then walk away without unloading or wiping down.nnToday, a different PT took the box I was sitting on took my phone and drink and put them on the ground, during my heaviest squat set, which was super distracting but more than that, didn't wait to ask or even acknowledge that I was using it. Straight up rude.nnCut to now - I cancelled on the way out. It's pretty clear that if you ain't mates with the PT or staff you get a different lower level of treatment. Boo to that. Do better. But you won't.
Been a member here for years but people hoarding equipment is getting worse .nI constantly see people on or around weight machines for 10 minutes plus but talking to their mates most of the time. When I asked the guy near the machine if he was finished with it he said no as his mate was using it. This mate was chatting away to someone else at the time elsewhere. I'm having to constantly change my workout because of this.nAlso today I saw a woman walk in to the gym and workout with gum boots and a dress.nNever in my life have I seen this before.nSigns should be in situ regarding these things, thou really you shouldn't have to
Whats the etiquette on other gym users excessive BO,the entire front area of Kapiti Cityfitness often absolutely stinks from one guy on rowing machines, I held my breath walking around him today as usual, but almost vomited when I got to the cross training machines as his BO had spread.I look with amusement at people of all ages sitting on equipment texting for 10 minutes or more, certainly an eye opener!I want to renew my membership but unsure.
Busy place but plenty of equipment. Good value with a range of free classes and plenty of parking. Freindly staff and clean environment. 24/7 works well around a busy life.
Very busy. Good cross section of cliental. Good to see the team doing a lot with what appears to be stroke and special needs personsnGreat work. Some gear update and repair is needed.
