I wanted to leave a good review after seeing the bad reviews, which left me worried taking prior to taking my 1 year old for surgery. The reception staff were lovely, the wait times were great & all of the nurses and doctors were so kind. Everyone that engaged with my little one was great & tried to make the experience as stress free for her as possible. The only recommendation I have is for additional seating in the waiting area, but overall very happy with our experience.
I would admit that I was paranoid to go to this day surgery after reading some reviews but I’m glad I chose this surgery . We just had the best experience here from the moment we walked in till we walked out of here. Friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk. Caring and cheerful nurses in the care and not just this but they made sure they checked on us after a few days of surgery to make sure we were fine. Filling out admission form was just so convenient and easy that I did it all in my own comfort in few simple clicks. Thanks team city west specialist!
Wonderful experience with virtus specialist day Hospital .Dr Venkatesh Bhardwaj was a wonderful Paediatric Dentist and the staff was professional, friendly and attentive. They ensured my 8 year old son had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. We are so glad we chose this hospital and would highly recommend to anyone.
Admission time 1pm. Still waiting at 2.30pm and still waiting. How bad.
Careless and disrespectful as our appointment was 11am for half an hour surgery it’s 4 pm so far and still waiting for a staff member to have time to get us out
I noted your “Suggestion Box” when I was recently a patient at your City West Day Hospital. I feel it is important to pass comment on a few things that I noticed. I caught an Uber to attend my 10.30am appointment. On approach I looked for pedestrian access but could only enter via the vehicular boom gate, as there was a vehicle attempting to utilize this entry I had to wait to allow the vehicle through first, there was no separate pedestrian thorough fare, it is shared with the coming and going of vehicles. I don’t think that this is safe. I arrived at Reception and approached the desk, before I could speak I was told to take a seat, I was not asked my Name or Why I was there. I sat for 45 minutes wondering if I was even accounted for and listening to the discussions of the personal lives of the clerical staff sitting behind the counter. Due to the procedure that I was there for, I hadn’t eaten any solid food for 28 hours and had not had any fluid for 5 hours, needless to say I was not feeling 100%, Eventually my name was called, relieved, I approached the person and took a seat, the person was pleasant and in no way rude, we went through my details and I was told that the Doctor was running on time and I would soon be attended to. I must say when my name was called I so relieved and the Nurse that greeted me was very pleasant and professional, I did finally feel that I was being cared for and I was a lot more relaxed for the rest of my procedure the Nurse in the Recovery Area also made me feel comfortable, ensure that I had something to eat and made sure that my escort was there for me to leave. I just feel that your Front of House Staff need to be more professional, at a minimum your patients would have been fasting for 4 hours and there is always some form of hesitation prior to Surgery. It would have been nice if I was asked my Name, Which Doctor was performing my procedure and maybe had my name ticked off as I had arrived, then asked to take a seat and told that I would be attending to within the hour. I am not saying that this was a horrible experience I just think a little more consideration would have made the experience whole lot better. Looking at your Google reviews might be a good idea.
While the staff working in the hospital is nice, this feedback is about the management issues. 1 Even when they mentioned, 2 escorts should be present for kids below 10, only one parent is actually allowed in the hospital. Even when we requested to allow both parents due to some health conditions, the request was denied. 2 They do not have any proper seating arrangements for Parents/escorts. We were asked to wait outside the hospital in the winter morning 7am. People are requested to wait in the cars or outside hospital and they would call back. With such a large reception area, they can easily manage more seating arrangements keeping social distancing in mind. There is no shade/protection from sun or chilly winds for anyone waiting outside. 3 Staff rushed us out of the hospital even when the child was disturbed/crying continuously. They mentioned treatment is over, you "must" go home. After anaesthesia, kids should get some time to get back in senses if they are disturbed. We spent nearly 40 min calming our daughter inside the car, before we could start.
The surgery went well. The recovery room is worse than public hospital. The nurse was so bothered when I asked for a glass of extra water. I am absolutely shocked at the amount of money they take and can’t provide the basic of human care. Forget about it being luxury. They can staff more nurses. Absolutely terrible.
Rude manner staff and massive organization. They sent me one text outstanding payment without any information No email, mail, phone call After 4 months I finished treatment How can I recognize my payment without notice? When I called them, they didn’t explain anything, only zero in on payment with terrible manner. I know nowadays hospital is same as retail shop. However retail shop at least they give you receipt with description. They just want to do payment without information
A big thank you to the Admin staff, nurses and doctors. I had my procedure today and they were all very accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you again :
