Found this little gem by accident. Kitchen and laundry displays that great grandma would have been familiar with .. pre washing machines and microwaves. 😮 Also mock-up of Mortlake car ferry, Victor mower stand and interactive displays. I was shown a ‘slate board’ which with a slate or chalk stick was used by school kids. It was the precursor to exercise books and ipads.🤪 Excellent local historical knowledge eg I found out why the area is called Canada Bay. Public toilets next door. Only open 2 days a week and staffed by volunteers, so donations recommended.

Unexpected delight. A small local museum but packed full with items across the ages, accompanied by fascinating and entertaining descriptions. A well presented museum with lovely staffs. A must see for anyone visiting Majors Bay Road.
