Holy Moly batman! Compared to some of the starved chicken I've seen in my travels, this sumptuous plateful of deliciousness from the team at Churchills Waipapa is outstanding. Friendly staff, cheap meals but outstanding cuts of the best meats... that get your belly full ready for the evening ahead. That chicken schnitzel must be at least a quarter of a chicken. As for the world famous in Waipapa chicken swirls.. mwah perfect balance of crumbed tender chicken with swirls of cranberry and cream cheese with lashings of bacon. It's almost criminal how good it is!

I walked into the butchers late when the shelves had been cleared. Was about to leave when a butcher said he could get anything from the bacK. Great! I asked for 3 rib eye fillet steaks, instead of eye fillet....The butcher brought out 3 huge steaks and didn't let me know the cost before bagging them. Just told me the cost: $57. I believe he knew that I had requested the wrong item. Will never be going their again. I'm a local too.
We’re from the Waikato, this is our 3rd stay in Paihia and look forward to cooking just so that we can visit Churchills, omg best butcher in the north island, hmmm maybe even NZ!! Friendly service, knowledgeable and the best cuts of meat. Whatever you want they’ve got it!!
Churchill’s always has the best service, friendly atmosphere and are always happy to help. Even during the level 4 lockdowns the service never faults and the delivery service is very helpful given the times. The wide variety of quality meats are great and affordable, the lamb patties are always a hit at our BBQs and beef mince is a staple in our house. Always happy to support local. Would highly recommend!!
Fantastic butchers shop with a great range of products to suit most tastes. We have tried 2 of the salamis and they are really packed with flavour. The Pork pies are a real taste o the UK, well worth trying. Great range of meat and flavorings too. Well wirth a visit, going back again soon to fill up a box to take back home.

Today's experience was awesome. Best service from any shop in the Bay. Normally we shop at the KK town store, and it is fantastic. On a previous visit to the Waipapa Store we received a wrong order. Today the Waipapa Store competely fixed it up, "no problem". Best service ever.
You want to experience excellent customer service? Go to Churchills and watch the staff interact with their clients, it's a joy. These guys should set up a business training young and old how to deal with clientele. No customer ever gets frustrated here, all leave the shop with a feel good attitude. Their meat is of course beyond good without the usual preservatives and chemicals but it's the customer service that brings joy to our lives. I go frequently and I'm adhering to a plant based diet. Figure that :-
