Service was good until the food came out. No one came back to see if we needed anything or even wanted more drinks. We were seated upstairs and if all staff and predominantly downstairs serving they should have a call bell system to alert the staff service is required upstairs as there are a few different sections. In the end my kids went to get our waitress. Pizza was good and only realised when we got there it was 30% off on pizza's so that was great too but overall service really let Thus restaurant down.
Pizza was fantastic and lots of choices to have. Garlic foccacia bread was a little disappointing with the ratio of cheese and the bread was a little dry.
Only popped in for a coffee but it was a really good coffee and a nice atmosphere inside. Looks like they have a great selection of rums though, so if you fancy working your way through a few fun flavours then this might be a good place to do it.Service: 4/5
On a cold, wet day this coffee hut/eatery proved a welcoming place to roll up. Unlike a number of smaller similar places , it wasn't all steamed up. Tick! It's just so difficult to consistently get good coffees etc On this day the mocha was cool . It was sent back and the staff quickly and apologetically reheated. These drinks, like in most other places aren't cheap.. therefore slightly disappointed, but will go back. Generally much prefer independents... but these places must keep their standards high to compete. Normally, I'd give this place 5 stars all round. Let's hope it is a blip to those normal high standards.
Simply perfect. The food, the staff, the location everything. Regardless of your age this place feels great. I would travel just to visit here and have done twice now. Well done
This is a lovely spot in the centre of Tavistock. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful old building, with the seating over two floors, and a couple of lounge style rooms with sofas. Outdoor seating is available in the large courtyard garden. The first floor is accessed by a narrow winding staircase. The entrance is accessible and leads into the bar areawhich has a perspex screen, hygiene measures are in place, and tables are socially distanced, we were also asked for a name and telephone number for tracing purposes. There is a large drinks menu, and the food menu focus is on pizzawith a cycling theme. We opted for the Eddie Merck and the Marco Pantini, with side salad and non-alcoholic Mango Mojitos. All very good! A very pleasant place, the service was fast and friendly. Toilets are on the ground floor only, with one accessible and one uni-sex. Card and cash payments are accepted. The only slightly jarring thing was the loud whining pop music - it's not everyone's taste and does not add to the atmosphere.
Really great pizzeria next to St.Eustachius church. Arrive by bike and get 10% discount. Pizzas a re all named after famous cyclists. I had the Fausto Coppi. Delicious and freshly made. Have also spent a brilliant New Year here dressed as a pirate. Can't remember too much but judging by the photos it was an epic night out! Arrrrrr
Really enjoyed the food , my first time of visiting. Will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5
Pleasant environment on a sunny day, interesting and original menu, food beautifully presented and delicious. Our hard to please French friends said it was the best lunch they had eaten in England
