Went to Hyde Park and saw this bakery. Got intrigued by the long line that I just had to try it!nnOrdered Ice mocha with some mushroom danish, chocolate croissant, jam donut ?, and chicken baguette.nnI liked the mushroom danish out of all the food I ordered; it was sweet and at the same time, creamy.nnThe staff were kind enough amidst the long line waiting outside so that’s a bonus for me.nnOverall, I would love to try it again, I didn’t have to wait that long because the service was quick. I would recommend trying the other pastries though since they have very interesting flavors.
A place that creates delicate pastries and unique flavours. nChu Bakery pushes the limits when it comes to their monthly specials, while having a consistent high quality with their day-to-day items.nThe last few specials I tried were the Sticky Date Puff Choux, Chocolate Pear Earl Grey Chiffon, Tiramichu Éclair, Strawberry Chocolate Cake, and Vanilla Pecan Tart. Each item had its own identity that stood out quite well in terms of flavours & texture. The Tiramichu & Earl Grey Chiffon in particular are fantastic and totally worth queuing for! They also have nice Filled Donuts, Raspberry Almond Croissants, and savoury options.nOverall, I am a Monthly Specials person and I highly recommend checking their great monthly items as they come out!
This is a great place to try some pastries in Perth. Their pastry have really good quality, and overall it was worth trying them!nnI came in the afternoon, there are queue, but it wasn't very long. When you step inside, there are the beautiful displayed pastries that are crafted well! The staff here are friendly and the service is quick. Although they only allow takeaway, but the bakery is located near Hyde Park, so you can still enjoy it there!nnFor the pastries tried the raspberry croissant and chocolate eclair.nRaspberry croissant: 8/10. Croissant is very light, flaky, and has nice crisp texture. The almond cream has great aroma. It also has a raspberry coulis inside, and it taste very fresh. Overall it's great, could be more balanced, it's slightly too sweet.nChocolate eclair: 9/10. One of the best eclairs I've tried. The choux pastry is well made, has good shape, and has a nice crisp texture. The vanilla custard is very light and not too sweet, and the chocolate on top adds a nice touch.nnOverall, a great place to try! Worth coming back here again trying their other products!
Read great reviews about this bakery and decided I will surely make time to try it out! Initially I was worried about the long queues I have seen in pictures but so glad there was only a few other people in line when I reached! It only took around 10 minutes from ordering my pastries and drinks to collecting them! The salted caramel latte and earl grey hot chocolate exceeded expectations! The mushroom danish was super crispy and flaky and passionfruit donut was soft and airy with a distinctive flavour. The flavours of the other pastries we got were also well balanced! Other than the caramel being a tad too sweet, all's good! It was a sunny day with clear blue skies so we headed over to Hyde Park just opposite to enjoy our breakfast! It was a wonderful breakfast with an amazing view!
The almond croissant was absolutely delicious. My child had the passionfruit doughnut and said the dough was as soft as a cloud – now they keep asking for it again!nnEven if you go early, the popular items sell out very quickly, so sometimes you have to wait for the next batch to be baked. If you’re lucky though, you might be able to get everything you want right away.nnThis is the first bakery where every single item I tried was delicious. Please open another branch in the south!
