Was recommended through social media platforms as a hidden gem, so we went ahead to look for it. You wouldn't miss it because there was already a queue at 9 am!nnWe weren't disappointed, with an average price of Aud 7 per pastry, I chose the salted caramel doughnut and loved it for its freshly baked softness, and also the sweetness was just nicennAfter buying your pastries, you could just cross the street to the park right opposite the store and enjoy your breakfast.nnPerfect food and setting!nnPS: they only do takeaways. Plus, they close on Mondays
Came out on a Saturday afternoon, and while there was a line, it moved quickly and smoothly. Being located right next to Hyde Park makes this place special, grab some pastries and coffees and enjoy them as you walk or picnic. The almond and raspberry croissants were amazing, the chocolate pain suisse was a delight, cinnamon scroll delicious and the jam donut just right! The coffee was also really good!
This coffee spot is truly unique and worth the visit. Even though there’s often a queue, the wait is absolutely justified. The coffee is rich, aromatic, and full of flavor, while the bread they offer is incredibly tasty. A perfect combination for coffee and bread lovers. Highly recommended!
Perfect balance of flavour and top quality every time. Some places go over the top and you feel it afterwards. Chu, you feel joy.nnFast friendly service, even when it's packed with the line stretching down the road. If I'm visiting on the weekend I always order and skip the queue to collect from the pick up window.nnA few photos of recent visits. Love the Monthly specials. Favourite bakery I've visited in Australia and NZ. Tino pai tō mahi
Chu Bakery is a charming Croissanterie right next to Hyde Park, with a sleek storefront and friendly service and an expressive array of breads and Danish pastries. We tried the Pain Suisse and Mushroom Danish - both were deliciously flaky and rich, though definitely on the indulgent side.
