Our mission is to bring others to the joy of knowing, loving and obeying Jesus;
who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
A Bit About Us:
Christian Community Church (Pacific Paradise) was planted on June 18, 2006 by a group of committed Christians from Grace Christian Church at Buderim. Our goal was to establish a place of worship and Christian fellowship for residents of the Bli Bli, Marcoola, Mudjimba, Pacific Paradise & Twin Waters areas.
The Lord had gone ahead of Pastor Dan Bosshard and Elder Daryl Spink leading them to the Pacific Paradise State School where our church group was welcomed with open arms.
From humble beginnings we soon outgrew the "comfortable" staff rooms and so moved into "the great outdoors" (school outdoor undercover assembly area). Quaint but not always comfortable (wet, cold and hot weather) not to mention the constant company of God's feathered creatures (crows and magpies) who frequently joined in with our singing etc. or tried to sneak off with our lunch during the service.
Of course God had exciting plans for His Church so after some five years, upon completion of the new "North Shore Community Centre" on David Low Way (adjacent to the North Shore Multisport Complex), He has settled us in our beautiful new, "comfortable" home. Praise the Lord for He is good! Twelve months on the church continues to grow numerically as more and more locals discover the warm and friendly fellowship and strong Biblical teaching.
Along with the majority of the original "church planters" a growing number of locals enjoy weekly fellowship (including morning tea after the service). FIRST and THIRD Sundays (of the month) we have a well attended time of corporate prayer of thanksgiving and petition following morning tea; Every SECOND Sunday we invite all who know and love the Lord to join us in celebrating the Lord's Supper (communion); whilst the FOURTH Sunday is a special time of fellowship when we have our bring and shared luncheon and monthly birthday celebrations. There is always plenty for unprepared guests.
Naturally, being a tourist area, we are fortunate to welcome a lot of visitors; many of whom become intermittent regulars on their return visits to the Coast.
The Australian roots of the Westminster Presbyterian Church (which we are a part of) go back to the year 1970 in Western Australia. WPC churches were established and grew to the point of having our own Bible College. Congregations were 'planted' in Canberra and New South Wales and continued into Queensland where new churches continue to be established today.
Our mission is to bring others to the joy of knowing, loving and obeying Jesus; who is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
