Chris's Beacon Point

Beautiful location situated high up in the coastal hills of Skenes Creek. The staff were helpful and polite but lacked any knowledgeof what was on the menu, food or wine. The food, my partner ordered the sirloin cooked rare, came out blue which meant the texture was chewy and fat wasnt rendered. 101 of being a chef is the ability to cook a steak, lucky my partner enjoys raw steak but found the texture unpleasant. For the price, maybe 2 beans crossed over or a floret of brocolli should be included in the price otherwise its meat and spud. I had the scallops which were arranged in 2 shells, with roe on, some like some don't, tasted better without only in my opinion, don't shoot me! Accompanied with a rocket and orange salad, on a creamy sauce bed. Nested in between the 2 scallops shells, a good dollop of mashed polenta, some would say, why? I said thank goodness! Was about the only part of the meal I enjoyed, dont get me wrong the scallops were nice! I thought I would enjoy the meal with a glass of a beautiful Victorian Pinot, well, that may have been nice, if the glass of Pinot I received wasn't dead about a week ago! I never leave a glass of anything behind, but I couldn't do it. The waiter collected the bill and I paid in full, he never asked was the wine ok, maybe he could tell as my lips were all curled up with what had just passed them? Would I go back, probanly not, would I have the same, definitely not, but I might chance the Pinot again! Overall a 2 star fail, unfortunately

We booked a table for new year’s eve dinner. No doubt the view we got was amazing. But unfortunately, the food was below average. It might be the food we ordered was not the famous dishes. Anyways, we still enjoyed our New Year’s Eve dinner here. 3 stars rated for the great ocean view!

Excellent hospitality and service. Cabin is neat and clean with excellent views to the ocean. Restaurant staff is friendly, helpful and prompt. Food is very delicious, would highly recommend staying here for the night and enjoying a dinner here!

The atmosphere view and service were great, but most of the food was below average. The entree calamari was good. The Saganaki was below average. . The main courses were the worst. I had roast lamb rump. Seemed well cooked but totally tasteless. No marinates no other flovours and the few vegetables with it just didnt blend in flavour. My partner had grilled fish. She doesnt like to complain so didnt tell me until we had finished, but the fish was raw only the outer 2mm cooked. She didnt eat the rest of the meal either. Both these dishes were in the mid $40 in price. The wine list however was good and reasonably priced.

Thanks to Ian and team, they had made our dining experience very memorable. Ian had moved us to a better view so that we could really enjoy the sunset across the beautiful Skeenes Creek. The food was absolutely delicious and we had really enjoyed our time at the restaurant.

Great restaurant with an excellent view. 2 mains, 1 glass of wine, 2 desserts were $135. Riesling was unremarkable though - too dry.

Wonderful place! First of all the amazing view and the calming feeling we got as soon as we got here are indescribable!! Then, entering the villa we were delighted to see that is was very clean, tidy, and attention was given even to the smallest details! You can tell people here care to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Friendly stuff and willing to help with everything we needed. I strongly recommend this place!!!

We dined at the restaurant on a special occasion and were very pleased with the thoughtful hospitality that Chris's had to offer. When we made our booking, Ian kindly arranged it so that we could catch the breathtaking view before sundown. As other reviews have mentioned, book a window seat if you can. : It was a comfortable temperature inside the restaurant and I could take my coat off. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations! No words - you need to try it to experience it. We were served by Lim and another waiter wish we caught his name, and had a lovely time chatting. Thanks for making us feel so special on this special occasion, and we will highly recommend this place to others as well. We will visit again!
