Nostalgic Chinese restaurant, right out of the 80s. You'll be warmly greeted with smiles and a basket of prawn crackers. Excellent value lunch specials... You can't go past sweet and sour pork which is well executed - crispy little nuggets of pork in a tasty sauce. Very comforting food. I enjoyed the "booth" seating.
Very good old school Chinese restaurant. All of the classic menu items you would expect are there. Nice, friendly staff
Choyan has lovely food most of the time but is way too expensive. I have been ordering from them for a while now, as well as dining in, and their prices are just increasing all the time. Last night I ordered an entree, two dishes and rice and was charged $91.60! It's completely outrageous. I won't be dining with them again.
To be honest a subpar suburban Chinese restaurant. Staff were quite pushy to order quickly despite the lack of other customers. Food was very average. Quite oily and processed.
Excellent service from waiter named James. He was very bubbly and quirky and was very helpful.
The staff are super friendly, helpful and charming. The decor is bang on for suburban Chinese and therein lies the appeal. The prices are fine. But as much as it hurts me to say it, the food is lacking I’m being generous with my wording. I probably won’t return. Or maybe just once more!
We go for our birthday dinners and other family celebrations. The restaurant has been here for a long time as I ate there with my parents so is a north shore institution. The food is always good, friendly service at an affordable price. Enjoy!
Great tasty food with good service and staff
Beautiful food and lovely staff with great service. Made such a special effort with my 3 year old son and spent time talking to my teenage daughter who is learning chinese.. Thanks for a lovely nice.
