The Choux Box café was established in 1993, over the years it has become a Kingscliff institution starting in a sleepy village on the tweed coast and developing into a vibey holiday destination but still maintaining a village atmosphere, Choux Box has been a stand out by delivering city service and styling a cool surf area. The owner Brett Freeburn out of Sydney has blended hospitality and business experience to form a long running estabishment with his northcoast lifestyle. Brett’s daughters are both still playing major management roles in the front of house operations making it a true family business. The choux box emphasizes on staff training, Tony Clarke- the head chef, has been through the whole training system and now a vetran of 12 years runs the kitchen with four apprentices and a kitchen hand, tony Is a dab hand at pastry which is all made by him on the premises. The Choux Box continues to win many awards including best breakfast restaurant in Australia, and also many regional and peoples choice awards. After 21 years the choux box still has a great energy and a happening vibe with a bustling morning coffee crowd and an all day meeting spot Wether there on the way to work or relaxing with friends the Vittoria Oro bean is Kingscliff’s favourite coffee. All in all, the Choux Box strives to maintain its good reputation by employing energectic, pasiontate and friendly staff and by serving high standard food, coffee and pastry.
