The place has really slipped over the last 6months. The last 3x visits we have got super soggy chips we live 200m away so it wasn't travel time. Photo is my daughter's "special pack" with calamari, fish, and chips. Even sending out this fish is a sign they don't give a toss about food quality. I didn't expect much but was impressed by what they sent. Interestingly they charged $2 over the advertised $14.50 on the menu too. Sad, as local customers are all that will keep this place afloat and they are on a fast track to sink the place. Their chips used to be their only highlight and if that's gone - we are too.
Terrible kebab ever. They wraped the kebab up side down so all the sauce and oil was leaking... the wrap was very dry and cold it seems like been all day outside. Also I waited for 30minuts for one kebab and one burger even though it was not busy that much. Two young workers looked busy but 2 senior owners was watching them not helping only checking how they work. I understand this time is hard for the business but that dose not mean serve the poor food. I am so disappointed...
Ordered the chips with the mince, bacon, cheese and chomped sauce. Received chips drown in greedy melted cheese, a few speck of bacon that will probably give me food poisoning, no mince, no onions, no sauce. Ate a third of it and felt so sick we had to throw it out. Give this one a big miss.
Terrible service, terrible food. What once was the only vendor our daughter would eat hot chips from, now we wouldn’t serve them to our dog. Such a shame that the quality and service has slipped significantly since the change of hands. We ask for ‘extra crispy’ chips to avoid extra soggy chips, to be served extra extra soggy chips in a smaller package than the allocated price. When questioned the smaller box served in than paid for, as another reviewer has made previous comment on, I was met with an even soggier attitude. Bye bye Chompers
I have been a loyal customer for years: recently the prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Bait and switch with sizes of meals displayed and what you receive. Extra's forgotten. Feedback met with hostility. Just lost a regular customer.
Gotta love a place you can come back to five years later and know you're gonna get real good honest food, no gentrified burger bs, just homey fairly priced burgers with all the chips and fried mars bars and milkshakes you'd hope for.

There was literally a peice of fish on my grilled chicken burger. I order a grilled chicken burger and ate about 1/4 before I got full so I gave it to my boyfriend. He bit into the other part and started physical spitting it out. I was confused because the bit I had was fine, but he kept saying it was bad and telling me that 'it tastes like fish'. I didn't believe him until I opened up the burger and looked closely at the meat to see it was a grilled peice of cheap white fish?????? This was particularly weird because the part I had eaten was actually Chicken. Theyre just lucky we aren't allergic to fish considering it's not something you expect in a 'grilled chicken burger'.
Can't recommend these guys enough, if you want a great burger that's big and filling go to these guys, food is on point well done guys
Got a crumbed sausage and some calamari The sausage was stale and greasy. The calamari was subpar and unseasoned, and overpriced for the minuscule portion. The service was mediocre at best. Based on other reviews, it seems the operators are incapable of accepting feedback. Yeah, don't go here.
