This is the place to come if you want a communal dining experience. The dining concept is based on the Catalan style “tapas” / small plates where you can sample different dishes with your dining companions. We ordered about 6 dishes and 2 desserts for 3 people that was just nice to keep us full. We started with the Braised Leeks with smoked mousseline that was perfect with the freshly baked sourdough bread - be careful as the bread kept on coming and I could not stop myself. My favourite dish was the roasted carrots - love the smokey char that was elevated with accompanying condiments. The milk fed Lamb was another star, the meat was so tender and cooked so well and it surprised me how sardine can be paired with lamb. Deserts also had a unique twist and not too sweet which I like. Overall, love the vibrancy of the restaurant, staff is extremely friendly and helpful. English menu available.
What a pleasure to both my senses of taste and sight while dining here. Each dish is a work of art, combined with extraordinary and delicate balance of ingredients that provided a magical experience. Imagine: A friend who was never a fan of mussels, was surprised by how he thoroughly enjoyed a dish of smoked mussels paired with sea asparagus topped with a buttery sauce and a sprinkle of roasted bits of hazelnut. An absolute treat to have celebrated my birthday here!
Had an excellent meal here last night even though the wait staff were a little short handed they still offered us fantastic service! Highlights were definitely the beef tongue with burnt aubergine, the sweetbread's and the grilled bread dessert but the absolute star was the plat saucer and especially the bread that came with it!! Order 2 when you arrive because it takes 20 min to make and you wont want to share!!
Great experience. The place makes you feel at home with a cozy atmosphere, large space and wood tables for your friends and you to come and share those wonderful tapas in a convivial environment! The food is fantastic and original, served as tapas to share with your friends and special mention to the "teq' paf de lieu jaune" What could have been better : the serving pace was long and inconsistent - 2h30 for 6 tapas felt long. Obviously, this is a new place, the staff is attentive and energetic and there's always some tweaking. We already recommended it to some of our friends and wish the best for the chef and his "brigade".
Great new place in Paris. Had a really good dinner. Service was great and attentive. Portions were quite small though. The restaurant was packed. Reservation highly recommended.
I will summarize this with 3 words: Oh My God You need to book a table, they have an amazing natural wine selection! The creation from Chef Thomas Chisholm walks free here and will amaze you! I would fly 10h again for one of the dishes we had today!
Possibly the best food I've ever had! The flavour combination are marvelous! Blown away!!! Friendly staff as well.
Visiting from California, we were intrigued by ChoCho when our Uber driver told us it was his favorite restaurant in Paris. Other fine dining restaurants recommended to us needed reservations well in advance. We were pleased to learn ChoCho had reservations same day. The servers are friendly, the atmosphere is bright and modern with fantastic decor. I was worried I’d be under dressed in my sneakers and athletic pants, but it was ok. I’d like to give the wait staff and atmosphere 5 stars. The food, mostly delicious, was over the top in presentation and get 3 stars.. We opted for the fixed menu. Each plate was delivered evenly spaced out. It was a lovely experience. However, the taste was too experimental for me. Oyster with seaweed on top drowned the flavor of the oyster. The Brussels sprouts were crispy but tasted burnt. The mackerel fish accompanied with cabbage was fresh, by far my favorite of the dishes. An egg tart was served on a bed of Timothy hay, which my rabbit would have loved. Presentation was nice, but we were not going to eat the hay. The dessert was super experimental and tasted pleasant enough. They were very accommodating when I asked for gluten free for me and pescatarian for me and my partner. If you are looking for a traditional tapas place, this is not it. If you want to spend a lot of money and get something that is more like art than a meal, this is a good place for that experience.
A cool menu, airy light vibe in the space. Not cheap but if you like an interesting texture and flavor combo it’s worth it. Definitely try the ceviche shooter start. You essentially make ceviche in your mouth in 3 parts, like a tequila shot sort of. Enjoyed!
We were served raw chicken as delicacy, small portions, like one small mushroom served for two people to share as part of the six course menu, frozen crème brûlée at the end. Oysters were warm. Servers were friendly and nice atmosphere. Would go back? No.
