Excellent authentic Thai food and service. Asked for "hot" food and got it!! Very, very satisfied. Would go back any time. Decor simple, but clean and very Thai. Loved the unique idea of having Thai phrases and their English meanings on the wall.
I got a fantastic chicken red curry last Tues for $10 at 7.45pm. Now 7 days later at 7.15pm the same curry costs $21. The atmosphere was beautiful sincerity from who must obviously be the owner. But she's not here this week, the place is completely empty and the atmosphere is lacking. I recommended a phone call prior to ensure the beautiful elderly mother is working when you attend. I'll come back here one more time to tell her my experience on my second visit but other than that even with my incredible first experience with the owner I would be doubt for if I would return after the second experience when she wasn't there.
Best Thai food ever in brissy and goldie.
Please take my advice. Here is the recipe for a great restaurant. 1 Make great authentic tasty food really really important!! 2 create a great atmosphere not decorations from 1995 3 make sure wait staff look presentable and happy. This place had none of that. The food taste was disappointing, I have had better Thai food from street vendors in Bangkok. The price here is higher than other places, a seafood stirfry is $21 and with rice $3.50 that's $24.50. Not a problem if the taste was really good... The waiter looked like he had just woken up and put on a wrinkled shirt. Both my partner and I got sick for the next 2 days. Ooof. This is a good one for Gordon Ramsay.
I used to love coming here with my mum who’s been an Ashgrove local for 5+ years. Our last two visits have been very disappointing. The food quality has declined significantly, which is sad because we love the friendly staff. Also, with price increases and no more table menus with the ingredients used it has made coming here inaccessible. Water thin Green Curry, incredibly greasy and unsatisfying Pad Thai and Special Fried Rice. The presentation of the decoration is far better than the quality and look of the actual meal on the plate. Sadly, our last visit... We thought we’d give them one last chance, because bad nights happen, but we didn’t even want our leftovers probably $30 worth of food to take away this time.
$11 lunch special! The owners are very kind and head chef cooks a wicked spicy pork noodle stir fry. Generous servings, would go here for a meal again
Fantastic, authentic Thai! Great food, excellent service! Very warm and welcoming! Excellent "central" location, we often order takeaway after work, and pick it up on the way home. Note: We haven't "eaten in", it is a bit of a "ma and pa" style restaurant don't expect stunning decor or a fine dining location. I think out would be fun though. A good relaxed place to take the family. Great authentic food, and great people!
Really tasty, great value! Would recommend.
The worst Thai that my husband and I have had. The sauce was runny in my husband's dish and he suffered an allergic reaction to something in the meal. The noodles in my dish were in inedible clumps of goo and comprised the majority of the dish, I couldn't eat them at all. Very disappointed.
Best Thai we've had in Brisbane. Sam and the team are friendly, food is authentic, fresh and high quality. Curries are great but the noodle dishes are even better - recommended.
