Ordered Sang Choy Bow tonight! Extremely disappointed! The lettuce was brown! Phoning them was a waste of 10 mins of my life! We can’t find your order blah blah! You’ll have to come to the restaurant to get replacement lettuce!
The food here is brilliant. It's super fresh and everything tastes like its is made with care. The spring rolls are great. The filling is flavoursome and the wrapping is crunchy and crispy. The dim sum is amazing too. The pork mince filling has a great is nicely spiced and has a great texture. I had the Singapore chilli prawns, the beef with black bean sauce and the special fried rice. The prawns are fresh and the chilli sauce is spicy enough to be present but not overwhelming. You can still taste the subtle seafood flavours. The beef is perfect. It's salty and vegetables are cooked to Al dente. There isn't much room inside the restaurant but you can get takeaway. This is a great Chinese restaurant.
wow, what a great surprise. Hot, fresh and tasty food. what more could one ask for. Flavour was infused in the food, traditional tasting. Both the boiled and fried rice couldn't be faulted. Large servings made it tremendous value for money.
Absolute rip off. Paid nearly $20 for a serve of special fried rice to have small frozen school prawns in the dish and maybe 2 small pieces of chicken. Combination short soup was also a rip off. Frozen wontons that went to mush, small frozen school prawns etc. All the food was unimpressive. Just a rip off really. Definitely would not recommend.
Lived close to this place for years but it was only recently that I discovered it existed. It's hidden at the back of North rocks shopping centre, near the carpark. Love the food and service and is decently priced for huge serving portions, around $15 pp.
Dropped in for lunch and had King Prawn Sate with fried rice. I’m really fussy with spicy dishes. This sate though spicy was delicious one of the best I’ve had
The taste is amazing and the price is value for money.
Brown wilted off slimy lettuce definitely wasn't cabbage and if it was it's definitely off an slimey and wilted to the point you can't tell see photos attached in the pineapple fried rice, pineapple had no taste not to mention we asked for extra and it came with literally 4pieces in the chicken and pineapple fried rice. Chicken was tasteless not to mention extremely oily or maybe that's from the slimey wilted off lettuce cabbage thing in the rice. The last 5 times we have tried this place it was extremely consistent unfortunately this tonight was massive let down. not sure what went wrong tonight. See pictures attached. Not sure I would give it another go considering all 3 of us have had stomach cramps since eating this and no we did not finish it we ended up throwing out most of the dish. To the owner's reply. Stomach aches since. Thanks for asking. We have never ordered a stir fry firstly. Question, how is a rice dish a stir fry? This was opened as soon as it arrived to our door. I have cooked many of times with with lettuce and cabbage and not once has it been brown or slimey or wilted a sign that it's off once cooked. Thanks for your response
Best Chinese Food in North Rocks, been there for 20 years so simply the best. Thanks again for awesome food.
This place is a hidden gem. I really enjoyed their lunch special menu. Great value for amazing tasting food. Service was quick and portion is quite generous.
