Despite the recent review we felt like dumplings and thought we’d give these guys a go. We ordered the Veg, Pork and Chicken & Prawn and all we very good. Dumpling size was good, texture also good and they were really filling. Customer service couldn’t fault and the menu has been updated with current prices.
Hi All, We just here last night we ordered food and food was yumm. But when it comes to the billing they charged us $15 extra. Upon asking and checking in the menu . We asked them then they tell us due to inflation we are charging extra money? Seriously at least update in the menu your price. they didn’t update the new price in menu A very bad experience being a customer i want to be treated fair
As a chinese, i gotta say the wonton soup and gulao rou sweet sour pork I had here were disgusting. Its obvious they put lots of MSGin the soup to enhance its flaolvour, the wonton feels like an overnight frozen food. I only had a piece of pork and had to threw the rest in the bin... I paid $38.6 for two dishes, which are absolutely rubbish. Please avoid coming to this place if you are after authentic chinese food.
I like salt but even I could not finish the wontons. Crispy pork and rice had virtually no flavour and again way too salty even for pork. Three of us went through a jug of water super fast once we started eating. Dumplings were ok. I like the setting and the staff were friendly but sadly the food was pretty awful.
Nothing but great things from this place. They got some of the nicest dumplings I've had before, the staff are super friendly. I've only had a few chances to eat there but every time it's been a winner. Should note there is no in-house delivery so if you want takeaway you'll have to pick it up and I couldn't find a menu online so I've put a copy up with this review! Highly recommended.
Had prawns that were overpowered by the crumbs and oil they were cooked in. Spring rolls were hard and tough with a small amount of compressed matter. Again no real taste to them. All in all a waste of money
This staurant is a favourite of mine because of the premium consistency of flavour and viscosity matched with standard, reasonable wait times.
Absolutely saddened by the fact I have to write this review and by my horrible experience here, very unfortunate as I had heard amazing things in the past but the common theme I heard from locals after sharing my experience here was that this establishment used to be amazing but has been rapidly declining for the past few months. to start off with, our server who was lovely but she did not know any of the ingredients in one of the main dishes of the menu when asked about it. After we ordered and after a very long wait our wontons were undercooked, pink and cold to the touch in the middle. Upon very kindly asking for the same ones we were served to be cooked a bit longer or new ones if that wasn’t possible A different older server stuck his hand in to my plate, picked up and smooshed the dumpling in his hand, proceeded to put it back on my plate and say it was ‘normal’ while very clearly agitated, we obviously declined any more wontons. Next they forgot one of our only side rice dish with our meal so we had to go up and ask for it and it came out cold and hard on top. The food was mediocre at best and was made with no ‘love’ at all! at the end of the night when I tried to talk to the same male staff member about our disappointment we got extremely rude and blunt replies. Please do yourselves a favour and do not come to this “restaurant”
Ordered 2 large fried rice 2 large honey chicken 1 large sweet and sour pork, cost $97!!! Food was hardly edible obviously not fresh way overpriced, no way I'll be back
No photo because everything LOOKED good and I don’t want to fool you. Satay chicken skewers - sauce was served on the side, thankfully because it was a salty concoction that had no tastes of any satay variant I’ve ever had. We also got a serve of pan fried pork & serve of pan fried beef dumplings, these were somehow sweet? To the point that we couldn’t finish them. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant at the time who had already been served their meals and it took around 30mins after the skewers for the dumplings to arrive. We could hear the people in the kitchen doorway area watching what sounded like videos on their phone. I’m giving them 2 stars purely because the texture of the dumpling skin was very good, not thick or tough like many you can get. I’d suggest looking further if you’re hungry.
