Story

A quintessentially Australian take on Asian food, the trademark Chin Chin taste is a carefully blended mix of freshness, spice, heat, exotic herbs and an obsessive need to perfectly balance all of these elements.

Chin Chin lives by the philosophy that eating and drinking should be fun and relaxing much like our way of life. We’re all about stimulating a sensory overload that our guests just can’t help but come back for. This has seen us become regarded as one of the most popular restaurants in Australia.

Chin Chin Sydney is housed in the beautiful, historic and heritage listed Griffiths Tea Building on the corner of Wentworth Avenue and Commonwealth Street in Surry Hills. After laying dormant for the past 30 years, it is a space we are excited to breath life back into.

Chin Chin is open 7 days a week from 11am ‘til late.

The Singapore noodles were so salty! It was the first dish and set us up for failure. The first 3 dishes came up so quickly but were dry. And salt was a theme throughout. The service was great. And fast service. But I wouldn't go there again, especially for the price. You can find better.
Celebrated a Milestone birthday in one of the event rooms. Had the most amazing time. The staff were very attentive all the way form the booking time through to us leaving. Of course the food was the hero. All guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Got a banquet and were definitely full by the end. Well presented. Fresh ingredients. Good service. Hard to find anything to fault. Found a lot of Thai influence to the dishes we ordered.

The food was excellent. The place was packed. Which is always a good sign. Very helpful with my wife with eating difficulties, such as gluten free etc. The music was interesting. Will definitely come back.
Great atmosphere, a real buzz. A little noisy if you are trying to be intimate , the food is delicious and interesting. Loved it
Food is fabulous, service is really good. The place has an edgy vibe with cool artwork. The only downside is it's really loud, so not a place to go with hard of hearing family/friends or if you want to catch up with a big group and chat.
