Based on location and the incredible view, you can’t go wrong. It’s always quite busy, I came just before the dinner rush so my meal was brought quickly. I had the calamari which was clearly freshly made, but a smaller portion could be made. Would say overall high, tourist prices.
Dinner tonight was at Chill at portofino. We were welcomed and lead to our table. It was pretty small but we managed to fit everything on there. We were offered still or sparkling water. I got a mango frozen daiquiri which was delicious and I loved the addition of the flower. My partner got an old fashioned which he liked as well. For mains, my partner had a margarita pizza. The base was really nice with a great crust. Classic margarita that was really good and he said he would definitely have it again. I had fish tacos, which were absolutely delicious! The fish in the tacos was tender, and the avocado and coleslaw with it worked really well. The chips on the side were lightly salted, thin and had a nice crisp to them. Would definitely come here again in fact we booked again for a few nights time. Plenty of vegetarian options palm cove seems to cater mostly for omnivores so this was a welcome surprise. The staff were friendly and nice and it was lovely to dine right across from the ocean. Edit: went here for dinner again and was again very happy with everything! My pasta was amazing and the pizza was so delicious! Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options available. Kid-friendliness: There was a kids menu
Good ambience and friendly service. The waiters were helpful and polite. But the food was disappointing. Considering each main/pasta/salad is $30-50, my expectation was higher than what was served. We didn't try the pizza but what we ordered wasn't worth the money.Food: 1/5
Has a great vybe, staff were very accommodating, well equipped bar with some delicious cocktails and most beers, crafts and spirits for mixing. Modern cuisine with some unique recipes, nothing that really stands out, but portions and taste was fantastic. We had dinner, was a busy night because of school holidays, but the wait was nothing, a hot tip during peak periods is to come/book earlier to get ahead of the peak crowds. Had a great night, listened to waves crashing from the beach was just a stones throw away and the chatter of other guests and passers by kept the feeling of activity and being want to be apart of. Would come again, loved it!
Food was over priced. Paid over $20 for eggs Benedict and the portion was very small, also tasted average. Paid $22 for one waffle with a hand full of assorted fruit, and what was supposed to be whipped cream… dunno what that was but it was disgusting it didn’t even have a cream consistency. The tropical crush I had tasted like I could have made it at home with frozen fruit and a bottle of orange juice. Wasn’t fresh at all not that they claim it’s fresh was just bad. Won’t be returning here ever. Service was average but coffee was good.
A must-visit when staying in Palm Cove! The ambiance of this place is just amazing. The view, the weather and the cocktails! Good service from staff, however I have to re-approach the bar to follow up our order as it was already approx 15mins after ordering our cocktails through the QR code from our table. Otherwise all was good! This Cafe/Restaurant is only a walking distance from the 5-star hotels here in Palm Cove, so make sure to pop in when you get the chance. A nice place to wait and relax before your flight back to gloomy Melbourne!
Just went past for breakfast which ends at 11.30, looks like the menu price has changed a little compared the previous photos attached In reviews. I did find it a little pricey for what you got, however the food overall was okay. There is no air conditioning if that is a must for you, however it did not bother us. Staff where friendly, our order came out in good time. They did however make a mistake with the order but it was rectified straight away.
Fantastic! First of all location and staff are just amazing. Very friendly and helpful. We ordered two separate meals with mugs of coffee. Pretty good and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone going to palm cove. Thanks guys
Had a beautiful Eggs Benny for our birthday breakfast celebrations! Staff were polite, food was quick and tasted great! Just wish there was a little more on our plates for what we ordered but otherwise we will be back! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options
This is quite possibly the worst service I’ve ever received in a restaurant. Our server had a horrible attitude, was rolling her eyes at patrons, and lacked hospitality in all forms. To clarify, we weren’t dining at a busy hour. I am a vegetarian and ordered waffle with fruit and a side of hash brown + Avocado smash. My meal arrived covered in bacon. I informed our waitress that I am vegetarian and did not order bacon. She did not apologize, she took my plate and came back a minute later with the bacon simply scraped off my plate. She added hash brown and avocado on top of the waffle in the maple syrup and did not come back to our table after that. She passed my party and would frown at us or roll her eyes as she did. The care taken was shocking, especially given my dietary restrictions. If it has been an allergy it could have been dangerous. I would not recommend this establishment given the. Quality of service experienced. I would love the opportunity to speak with a manager or an owner. But training of new hires definitely needs to be more thorough. Vegetarian options: They do not take care to mind vegetarian diets. Cross contamination is a great concern. Dietary restrictions: Cross contamination is a great concern.
