First & only time customer.... ordered the BFF Big Fat Fried Chicken Burger & some chips. The chips were great but you really don't go to a place like this for the chips you can get pretty good chips anywhere. The BFF burger was so unbelievably SALTY and I like salt that I could not eat more than 2 bites before I was begging for water. I assume it was the batter? - The chips were seasoned to perfection! Pretty pricey too, I thought. What a shame!
Reliable local chicken takeaway. Great chips. Range of salads. Also chicken burgers. Quick service. Reasonable prices. Parking: Also plenty of parking at rear with direct access to shop. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free meals.
Ordered half chicken and chips for about 16.50. The chips were over cooked so looked brown and tasted slightly bitter and chewy. The chicken was so salty that I couldn’t even give it to my dog. Normally I got to my local chicken shop but was in the area so thought I’d give this place a try given the 4.2 avg rating and was truly disappointed.
The Big Fat Fried BFF Budget is exceptionally good with a very crispy but moist patty. I also had "The Jam Session" burger which is also very crispy but with a nice after-burn from the Asian Slaw.
This place is, quite easily, the best shop to get your anything-chicken-meal from. Their serves are generous and ultimately very yummy too. Chicken Central is my family's favourite shop! Finally, the staff here always go over and above to make sure you are happy with your meal. Overall, the best.
Good spot in a suburban strip, nice selection of salads to go with your meal. I had a Muchacho burger spicy, non brioche bun and a good sized burger. I noticed they had beer and cider in the fridge so ha, not a bad option for an after work sit down meal. Plenty of parking out the back of street parking is all taken.
Pricing doesn't make any sense. $11 for a quarter chicken and chips. $22 for half chicken and chips. But on the side quarter chicken is $6.90. So getting penalised for buying the deal when you can just add it on for cheaper?
Chicken was dry and horrible. Corn tasted ok but different sizes?!? Burgers are good but expensive. Roasted vegetables are really overcooked and oily.
Only the chips were good but the chicken was way salty would not recommend to anyone
If you close at 8 you should actually close the kitchen at 8, not be technically open at 7:40pm but the only thing available is chips. Not even salads. This is why this area does terribly cause it's completely unreliable so we go straight up to Glenferrie instead
