I though long and hard about writing this review because the lady that cut my hair was so lovely but god the haircut is atrocious. I asked for the hair to be cut all the same length, she suggested adding a few layers to blend the side fringe the fringe was jaw length at that time. I regret so very much agreeing to those few layers. The hair ended up completely butchered, the "layers" are actually blunt random steps thoughout the hair with gaps of over 3-4cm between them, the side fringe now starts from the very back of my crown, the left side is longer than the right and the back is somehow longer than both sides! It will take many months to grow it out and I cried several time througout the day just thinking about being stuck looking like this for that long.The 1 start is for the super friendly attitude of the lady that did the haircut, -10stars for the haircut itself
I got my hair done at your salon on 20th September, that night was my 30th birthday party. I ended up in tears. I am super unhappy with the service I received. I asked for a balayage understanding that a balayage is a highlight process to great a graduated natural looking effect. What I received was badly blended tiger stripes in my hair. Unfortunately giselle although a lovely woman and very chatty and nice did not treat my hair very well and left the bleach on so long that it burnt my hair and caused it to be so brittle that I could not even brush it without damaging it and breaking it. It was also super badly blended and in no way was it a natural look. The toner that was put in was so patchy that other hair dressers asked if I was going grey and had grey hairs and other parts of it was bright yellow. My hair was completely destroyed to the point that I had to go to a different hairdresser and get it fixed. There was almost nothing they could do with the condition of the hair so I had to get most of my length cut off and the hair redyed and styled plus a repair treatment put through. This cost me an additional 230. This was super sad for me since I was trying to grow my hair out to about waist length again and now it's ear length. I tried to contact the salon and received no response. There is no way to contact them via email and their website is non existant. I would not recommend this place for dye treatments.
Better communication would have made this experience better. I was left waiting 40 minutes until after my booked time with only one acknowledgement when I arrived. I felt the staff member who acknowledged me acted cold after I got upset I had to wait 40 minutes I and no apology. I told the lady I was anxious on the phone I have had issues with my hair thinning due to health issues and my hair condition was brought up a few times with me and likely trying to be helpful but didn't help my confidence. When I sat down there was a used coffee cup on front of me, however I was never was offered a magazine or a drink, not even a glass of water despite it's 34 degrees today and being left to wait. I didn't ask but I just think they wanted me in and out. I feel because I used a voucher I was treated differently to the people before me. I paid an extra $10 due my hair length but this was stated on the voucher. I ended up late for my next appointment that day as a result. My hair looked much better after their service.
I purchased a Groupon deal for this salon and went in last week to have a full head of foils and a cut. The deal was excellent value for money and the hairdresser who did my hair did a most wonderful job. She listened to how I wanted my hair done and did better than I expected. The salon was nice and quiet and located in a nice spot that was easily accessed from the Perth train station. Thanks Cheveux!!!
I can't recommend this salon enough. I was in Perth during the week, feeling extremely depressed about the state my hair was in. Faded colour, dry and badly in need of a good cut. I had never been to this salon before, but definitely will be again. Giselle was fantastic. Bubbly, positive and great at her trade. I left the salon with a new trendy style, awesome new colour and feeling much better about myself. Thank you Giselle, I will be back.
My name is Lisa and I would give this salon zero stars, but have to give it one or it wouldn't let me post my review. I got absolutely shocking results after a keratin straightening treatment. I was persuaded to upgrade from a $119 keratin smoothing treatment to a $219 keratin straightening treatment. Three days later, when I washed my hair for the first time with the correct sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, my hair was as wavy and frizzy as before the treatment. As it was a total waste of time and money, I would never ever go back to this salon and would tell everyone else who was thinking about getting a keratin treatment to never ever go to Cheveux Hair and Beauty. I have had several other keratin treatments at other salons in Perth for better prices and that work very effectively on my hair for up to 4 months, however this one did not work at all and took a long three and a half hours. Unfortunately the biggest waste of time and money ever. Stay away, don't get fooled!
