Bought some green sand crabs in Chermside Fish Market. The price was about 30% less than usual. When brought the crabs home and unwrapped them, found that they're rotten and smelly. Returned them back, received the refund, nobody there was surprised, the staff didn't even say sorry to me. Never buy there again!
Chermside fish market stocks only the freshest fish. From your salmon to your mussells they have it all. They also have a hot box with all your freshly cooked seafood, chips and salad for that lunch time meal!
the old lady who claim herself a owner was very rude to us while purchasing a fish last week. Very bad customer experience and they need to be trained to manage or talk to the customer with respect. If you need respect, quality and cleanliness, never visit this place
Bought a piece of crumbed fish today, half eaten and you can guess where the other half went. Used to be good but not anymore, fish doesn’t look burnt but so hard it actually hurt my palette
Bought some “fresh” fish fillets early in the new year. Took it home to cook. Unwrapped it and it was well and truly rotten. Went back to advise them only to deny that it could have happened. Rather arrogant attitude towards me. Never again will I purchase anything from this retailer.

Bought oysters from them. It taste like they soaked them salt. Disgusting
Bought 2 sand crabs! Turned out be soggy and mushy! The meat was old and the crab shells are all soft and smelly with dark spots! Went into the bin. Also bought the octopus, they did not look fresh and all the tentacles all fell part when we took it out. Also in the bin! I have never seen fresh seafood like this.. Why would a business be allowed to operate when they are selling off stuff and can potentially cause food poisoning and health issues to consumers!
At $40 a kg the king prawns may have been fresh as labeled - I asked the question on location of catch and if fresh never frozen. Confirmed twice. Load of rubbish, mushy thawed prawns and fresh prawn prices - what a bunch of liars. So disappointed to have been shafted in this manner - don’t fall for the same mistake.
