My suggestion is to go to the nearby Direct Chemist Outlet. If you insist on going to Chemist Warehouse, head to the Gateway Plaza 3 kilometers away. Perhaps this is exactly what the rude staff are hoping for.nnMy wife and I wanted to pay separately using Alipay because we each had a coupon. My wife was disappointed to tell me that the cashier refused to serve her, claiming that she didn’t know how to use Alipay. I then tried to pay at the counter, and a cashier I'm not sure if this was the same person as before served me. She also told me she didn’t know how to use Alipay and suggested I try another counter, which was at the other end of the store. I explained that this payment service is actually very common, as it’s available at all Chemist Warehouse locations across Australia, and it has been for maybe 10 years. She responded that she had worked at Chemist Warehouse for less than 10 years. I suggested that maybe she could call her supervisor for help and that she could learn a new skill. She replied that her supervisor was likely very busy and couldn’t come to assist. Then, she looked at me with a sense of expectation, as if hoping I would put down my items and leave, without showing any willingness to help. I told her it was fine and that I could wait for her supervisor to become available. So, I stood aside to let the cashier continue serving other customers, and I overheard her say “ridiculous.”nnAfter about 5 minutes, she brought over another older cashier. Although I had clearly told her that I wanted to pay using Alipay, she still asked me how I wanted to pay. I had to explain that Alipay has two payment methods: one where the cashier scans my QR code, or the other where I scan the cashier's QR code. It seemed that the cashier didn’t know which payment method Chemist Warehouse accepts, so we had to try two different payment methods to prove that only one of them was feasible.During the process, there were two instances where the register’s screen required a selection, and each time, the cashier didn’t respond. As a result, I had to make the selections myself on the register to bring up the Alipay QR code on the screen and finally complete the payment. I’m not sure if the older cashier didn’t know how to operate Alipay, or if she simply lacked the awareness to assist the customer during the process.nnThroughout the entire transaction, there were no smiles or apologies, and no sign of embarrassment from the staff about their lack of skills that caused inconvenience to the customers. Instead, I felt like I was being treated as a nuisance. In the end, my wife called Chemist Warehouse’s customer service and clearly stated that she would file a complaint. Two things shocked me: 1 The cashier had not received proper training and didn’t have the basic skills to handle payments, nor did she show any desire to learn these skills. 2 When faced with a problem, the cashier showed no customer service attitude, was very lazy, and seemed unwilling to help resolve the issue. It was only after the customer’s persistence that she reluctantly called for assistance. The rude behavior of the first cashier was something I’ve rarely encountered in my experience shopping at Chemist Warehouse I used to live in Melbourne, while the second cashier’s attitude could also be described as indifferent.
I placed an order five days ago and received no updates until I reached out to them. Only then was I informed, with an unsettlingly casual attitude, that they had just dispatched my order that same day. The lack of communication and professionalism is truly disappointing. This experience reflects poorly on their customer service. I expected much better.
Best chemist in the Bool. The pharmacist Peter is one of them best in the business. Peter moved mountains to get my medication which was unavailable around the country and had more knowledge than the doctor that prescribed it. Good old fashion customer service at its best
Great prices. Excellent variety
Very rude staff horrible customer service wouldn’t Recommend going here unless you wanna get eye rolls an laughed at for asking a question an lied to about products you buy
