Very huffy male pharmacist, dealing unsolicited advice. To be specific, he told me abrasively that I would need to go to my doctor to change the dosage of a medication that is essential to my function, on account of the fact that it was out of stock.nI asked him to check if there were any in stock at other branches, let alone the fact that there are alternative businesses available to Chemist Warehouse, to which he very abruptly answered ‘no’ before I requested he check anyway. As it turns out, one of the other local pharmacies had numerous lots of my required medication in stock.nHe informed me it was likely an error & upon calling to check, they confirmed that they had the listed amount in stock.nnNot only had he dealt me careless misinformation to dismiss me but if I was a more vulnerable person who had believed in his authority, it may have been months before I could access an altered dosage that wouldn’t be quite so effective as that which I am prescribed. The pharmaceutical in question being Vyvanse.nNow, I understand there is a national shortage. But blatant carelessness to offer that advice without even making inquiry into its availability first is negligent to say the least. And the manner in which that ‘advice’ was offered was nothing short of callous.nnAn abysmal typification of the advantage medical professionals & those adjacent to them exact upon vulnerable individuals.nI can’t help but feel I was also stereotyped during this encounter. I’m a young woman, who has an alternative look but by the same token, I’m a full-time academic in the area of research cosmology & subsequently, require aid with my ADHD to work as effectively as possible in my field. Taking the initial advice without a grain of salt would have had serious consequences on my ongoing mental health, with the workload I carry day to day.nNot that my career should come into play as justification. For myself & many other’s with ADHD, not to mention co-morbid bipolar disorder, being unmedicated from stimulants puts me in a dangerous position with my general mental health.nnI am nothing short of disgusted & wish I had taken his name to escalate this further.nThe stigmatisation & negligence rife in healthcare was typified to me in this interaction & I would recommend avoiding this branch at all costs.nnMy compliments to the young woman pharmacist that I believe was in training. She was just lovely. We need more people like you in this field.
DISGUSTING SERVICEnBought Oral B with LED. LED doesn’t work. Returned next day product unused, for a replacement.nThey would not replace it. I was told it was THEIR POLICY NOT TO REPLACE IT and that I had to call the manufacturer about the fault.
I found this chemist to be perfectly fine. I've been in a few times for both scripts and off-the-shelf items, and its always been a easy experience. Staff seem cordial and functional enough, stock is plentiful as far as I can tell, prices are reasonable. Its a Chemist Warehouse, what do you expect? Some of these one star reviews are, I think, an expectation of Emirates Service at JetStar prices.
Not helpful whatsoever, I wanted to return an item that was a next day delivery that I had ordered online. It does not say anywhere that you have to return the item back to the store it came from, I’m extremely annoyed that I didn’t receive a refund and that I have to go out of my way to another store just to return it and receive a refund. Also really upset that they won’t refund the delivery fee that had to be paid in total. Overall not helpful and do not recommend, returns/refunds are supposed to be made easier for the customer not even more complicated and they did not succeed in that. Would not recommend.
I spend thousands of $$$ on prescriptions each year at the Rosanna Chemist Warehouse. They've just lost my business over $20. Apparently they don't accept returns for 'consumables' I.e., 95% of their products. As such they would not accept a return of some vitamins that are sealed and had been stored at room temperature. Even if they don't feel comfortable re-selling this item, wouldn't it be more profitable to retain a loyal customer and absorb a $20 loss? I'm sure Chemist Warehouse can afford this with all the money saved from underpaying their pharmacists after destroying small pharmaceutical business. Absolute disgrace.
