Nice place for eating dimsum yamcha. No trolley cart there, but we can order the food by piece. Taste great, quick service. The seating space quite limited and suitable for small group less than 5-6 people. Better book by call first because always crowded. Love their prawn sesame toast, salted egg yolk lava bun, shrimp beancurd roll
All the Yumchaa dim sim at Chef Wong Hawthorn are handmade, fresh, and absolutely delicious! They have so many options, and the best part is you can order by the piece — perfect if you want to try a bit of everything without getting too full. The staff are super friendly and helpful, making sure every dish is on point. Love it! Highly recommend this place if you love dim sim!
Exceptional Yum Cha Experience!nExceptional food, came out hot and fast, easily the best yum cha I’ve ever had. The staff were fantastic, welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. I can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you visit here or their Huntingdale shop, Chef Wong won’t disappoint.
The family working there are super friendly and warm, but unfortunately the food is on the blander side. We tried multiple menu like the pork shiu mai, shark fin shiu mai, prawn rice rolls, egg tart, har gow, xiao long bao, and salted egg bun. The only good ones worth mentioning is the prawn dumpling which has very juicy prawns, and the salted egg bun is also excellent. I heard the staff explaining to the other table that the xiao long bao is supposed to not have the soup and instead it's just a very juicy pork filling ? unfortunately that idea doesn't work well, and it just tastes like the xiao long bao is overcooked.
Incredible local restaurant where all the dumplings are hand made. The staff and down to earth and friendly. Service on a Saturday night was faster than expected. Soft shell bao is worth trying, and best congee!
