Heard from a work mate doing performance at pub, Richard became the first Guitar/music mentor of my elder son three years ago. And now he is doing the same thing for my younger one. Based in west Brisbane area, his skills cover all range of level and his knowledge in music is superb. In class, you can always hear social chat and laughter.

My son has been learning guitar since he was 5 with Richard at Check One Two Guitar Schools. He has enjoyed it thoroughly as Richard has made the learning experience so enjoyable and easy. He is now 9 and still enjoys playing and learning. As a full-time working mum, it is sometimes difficult to organise practical time to attend after school activities but Richard is very flexible with his teaching times offering not only offering private lessons but also group lessons and mobile lessons. I have no hesitation in recommending Check One Two Guitar Schools as I have seen it as an invaluable experience for my son who was not able to hold a guitar from the beginning but can now play with ease.

Richard is a dedicated and passionate teacher who taught our daughter in one-on-one and group lessons. Richard goes to great effort to engage and challenge students and provide resources for further learning. Richard is extremely organised and an excellent communicator so parents and students are always well informed of expectations and arrangements. We would recommend Richard and his Checkonetwo studio to anyone seeking guitar lessons that will challenge and motivate you.
