One of the best train stations in Sydney, and the poster child of why transit oriented development rules, IMO! As the Hurstville of the North Shore, Chatswood is a four-platform station with frequent services for T1 North Shore Line, T9 Northern Line, Central Coast & Newcastle peak and Metro Northwest & City.nnMax waiting period is 10 min for metro and 7-8 min for suburban trains even off-peak, on weekends and on holidays. The station has lifts, making it wheelchair accessible.nnChatswood station is surrounded by Chatswood interchange's stores with a Woolies, post office, takeaways, restaurants and even Blood Donation centre as well as just a short walk to Chatswood Westfield, Library & Chase.
Chatswood station is situated at Northern part of Sydney Where Trains come frequently in 3 minutes. You can find trains to Hornsby, Epping and city from this station.
Good places to eat. Nice cafes to sit around. Woolworths located right above the station...so that you can do your daily grocery shopping easily without putting in extra time and effort. Nice place to hang around with very nice restaurants. Some shops are also there to do some shopping.
Clean, modern and organised with electronic boards with train times. The actual station has metro and trains, with a bus station not far off. There are vending machines and bathrooms. The guards are really helpful if you have any questions. There are gates that open once you tap your opal card to get through to the platforms, and a wider one for prams an wheelchairs.
