Plenty of books, DVDs, magazines, etc as well as access to more in the Hamilton Library system. The staff are very friendly and helpful. During the holidays the library has programmes and reading challenges for children. The library also has a friendly security guard who has addressed the issue of bicycle thefts.

The staff are great but feel powerless to do anything about bicycles stolen in broad daylight especially during school holidays. A group of thieves use bolt cutters to steal the bicycles.

Lovely atmosphere and convenient location. Book reading activities for toddlers are real fun and engaging.

Obviously not as big as the Central Library in town, Chartwell still is a good local library. The stuff are friendly, and the library is kept clean and organised. Being apart of the Hamilton Library network, it is easy to find the book you need! The features offered to members via their web portal are great as well. Easily reserve books, and do things like 'borrow eBooks'.
