Very comfy bed after a 10 hour drive. Appreciated the hot shower and air-conditioning. Happy to have fridge, jug, toaster and much needed tea, coffee and milk available in the room. Clean unit.

Clean tidy rooms with comfortable beds. Rooms have a bar-fridge, jug, toaster and microwave, plus cups, glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery for 3 people. Lovely big park across the road. It's a very old building that has been renovated reasonably well. There is only one window and that opens onto the carpark, so if you enjoy fresh air you may have a problem. Unfortunately we were woken numerous times, between 11pm and 2am, by drunken guests arriving back and partying. A few issues: There's nowhere at all to hang towels or clean clothes in the bathroom. There are no bedside tables, the only flat surface is where you eat. As a consequence there are no reading lamps and there's no clock radio. Only seems to be two double power points, one is in a wet area. None are near the beds or chair. Aircon struggles a bit as it's up the end of an alcove. Wifi is weak, it works, but you won't be watching YouTube. The TVs don't handle mpeg4, so you miss out on the new digital channels and the HD channels. All but about three of the cable channels reported that their subscription had lapsed. Carports only cover 2/3rds of your car, except for about four rooms which have full cover. The human hair in our breakfast wasn't really appreciated either.

Charters Towers Motel was an older place but it was clean tidy and comfy. For $110 per night you couldn't have asked for more. We then went up to the Enterprise Hotel for dinner, it was fantastic. Big pub meals that tastes lovely. The pic below is of my Reef & Beef, yummy.
