We had a pleasant dinner here, I would say if you are in the area, why not check them out. We had steaks and sausage, steak was cook in perfection. Chips and salad could have been more I think and the sausage was quite a surprise for us, that it is only one. Other than that, no complain : We have always come here before the pandemic. After reading some review, it is a little bit underwhelming now not sure what have changed. It used to be more lively. But would 100% recommend them for steak if you are in the area.
Went out for dinner here last night. It was the best steak we've ever had. Pricey but so worth the money. If you love your meat, you definitely should come for a visit. The meat is cook to perfection. So juicy and tender. No sauce needed really. Comes with a side salad and chips but didn't bother to take a photo. The meat is definitely the star. The service was excellent too. Thanks for having us.
The steak was cooked well, but my steak had a lot of sinew. Everyone else's were fine though. I went with a group and when we got home and split the costs, it turns out we were charged for a $150 wagyu we didn't order.
This is my second time here, thought I would try again as the last time I went I was pretty underwhelmed. Confirmed now that this is a very average steak restaurant. Not worth the $$$. We ordered a scotch fillet which was quite nice, but the eye fillet was too rare and chewy. Service was also really off for a place that is clearly trying to replicate a European fine dining experience. Unfortunately this missed the mark on many levels.
Good solid place. They do meat and they do it well. My 200g eye fillet was great quality and perfectly cooked and the salad greens and chips were nice. Wines were fine too as was the service which was warm, efficient and friendly.
Great place for some fine cuts of steak cooked to perfection and good selection of wines. Finished with some simple classic desserts.Food: 5/5
Pretty fancy steakhouse in kew This is the 500g porterhouse Steak come with a lettuce salad & chips. Also your choice of mustard. Wines by the glass were both excellent. Pinot Noir and Shiraz. Got some great duck sausages that are served with a non tacky sweet chilli sauce and some broccolini For desert I ordered the strawberry crepe which is served with vanilla ice cream. So I got a desert wine match with it, which is a delicious French desert wine from chateau roumieu in Sauternes! Beautiful cutlery and wine glasses They probably really need to play some music upstairs. Not sure why they have no music.
I cannot fault my steak, it was cooked to perfection and like the waitress why do you need sauce? She was absolutely right. Is it me or was the waiter with glasses seem bored to be there. I know one of the younger waiters yawned but i was like him so tired yesterday. My dad's steak was not cooked medium well done as it was still pink but he loved the taste of it. Big tip if you dine here is to NOT EAT THE BREAD ROLLS, save your appetite for the tasty steak menu.
Very friendly and professional waiter with excellent recommendations of our steak. We had a wonderful 25th wedding anniversary celebration last night. Great food and service.Food: 5/5
One of our favourite restaurants in Melbourne for over 20years. Has the BEST steak, which is always cooked perfectly and is tender and juicy. Dejan always makes you feel welcome and knows his wines great selection. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the food and service are consistently excellent, so it's worth it. Desserts are excellent too. Highly recommended for true meat lovers.
