Have been ordering take away on Friday evenings here for a while now. They do the best hot chips in Sydney, their burgers are amazing, and the chickens are always tender and delicious. Highly recommend. The owners are really friendly too.
One of the best burgers ive ever had from a charcoal chicken shop. Chips were crunchy and full of potato. Highly recommend the chilli mayo sauce to pair with it. 10/10 food along with fantastic service

There aren't many of these great, old fashioned, charcoal chicken places left in the St George. Delicious, they time it so that there is a great char on the chook, and you can't go past the family deal 3 for a good feed. The chips are also moreish. Run by a nice guy and his Dad.
This is the worst charcoal Chinese chicken! Friday night me and my girlfriend was looking for a charcoal chicken around Kingsgrove area as we just moved in town. First thing we walked in, the shop was dark and very unclean. The 2 Chinese men tried to offer us a very dried old chicken to us but we said we wanted the other one next to it. Then the Chinese man yelled at us "Why?! the one we offered is fresher!" So we got no choice but to take the one he said it was "fresher". We got home, the chicken was dried and hard with bad smell, we have to bin it! Rude customer service and bad chicken!
Got it via a food delivery service it was a bit pricey but it’s large portions at least and I like how there is options of banana/pineapple fritters. Taste wise it’s just when you would expect from your local chicken shop
Knew one of the employees who used to work at peakhurst and he's a great guy. Definitely recommend, served me immediately and customer service is great. Small store but surpasses expectations and the food is superb.
Nice chicken. Go salad. Chips are good, can be a bit salty. Nothing out of the ordinary really but the staff are very friendly and honest. Local feel.
It looks and feels like Kingsgrove charcoal chicken shop has been there forever. With a loyal clientele base, its not unusual to have to queue for chickens in this tiny takeaway store. The smell alone that wafts in your car window as you drive around looking for a park , is encouragement enough to get there quick before all the chickens run out, a situation that we have encountered on a couple of occasions. The chickens are moist and tender with the meat falling from the bone. Juicy flesh is just held together by sticky skin and the colour of the meat is a delightful creamy white. We always order 2 chickens for the 4 of us, as chicken rolls for lunch the next day are a must do! Get in early for a local favourite.
