Been here a few times from as this place started as a food truck and now it has its own diner, a testament to the growing popularity of their dosa. The ordering process is easily done in person or via machine. It gets popular here on a weekend for lunch so expect a crowd.nTried the dosa with cheese, onion and the plain one. The masala that comes with it all on point and the dosa is crunchy and soft inside.nAll in all a great meal!nI do have to say you’d get thirsty after the meal as there maybe yum yum involved.
We have been going to this place for last 18 months and not even once it has disappointed us. The dosas are hands down the best in Melbourne and their evening specials are always a delight specially their chicken fry and biryani. Mango lassi is must try.

Their hospitality reflects the true spirit of South Indian culture - warm, attentive and courteous. The staff took the time to explain the dishes and got me to try Pesarattu which is my absolute favourite now . Few of my other favourites are their lunch combo veg and non veg, Idli and masala chai !!nChai N Dosa is a must visit for anyone in Melbourne who craves South Indian telungu cuisine. The combination of excellent food and warm service makes this place a standout choice. I always leave the place with a full heart and a promise to return soon.
A restaurant run solely by WOMEN!!! One of the best restaurants for South Indian breakfast- masala dosa, kara podi idli, poori masala- loved them all.nAnother must try from here is their puffs. Was surprisingly amazed by it’s taste- their egg puffs were delicious
I recently tried the paneer dosa, idly, and mango lassi at this restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The dosa was overly oily and hard, while the idly was quite dry. The mango lassi tasted old and wasn't enjoyable. Additionally, the lack of customer service was noticeable—refills had to be requested multiple times, and there were no napkins or water provided on the table. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations.
