So many cool things here! Don't see many stores back in NZ that have older games like this so this was such a treat. This store is on my must visit list every time I visit Canberra. This time I picked up a couple of secondhand DS games at great prices. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend checking them out cause you never know what you'll find!
Had a very poor experience selling items. The female staff member became rude with me after I corrected her about an item she misidentified and was going to underpay me for and even after correcting her she refused to correctly identify the item and overpaid me instead. Additionally they failed to identify RAM sticks when their website has a single listing for 8 GB ddr4 2400mhz, which I even showed them, I was told it was dependent on brand. After being told to come back in 10 minutes twice after already waiting 20 minutes for them to test the electronics I just gave up and took back the RAM sticks. There was a general showing of incompetence and the way the staff addressed me after correcting their mistake is unacceptable in any line of work.
Used to say that this store was great to get games and older consoles from… don’t trust them to keep to their 2 year warranty on anything now. I got a Wii U from the mount gravatt store in QLD. the power supply died somehow on my move to Canberra. Tried to go in to see if I can get the power supply itself replaced as the Console works. You gotta hold it at a certain angle for it to get power using the cable it was sold with, the one I am trying to replace. Was told they wouldn’t do anything with it unless I have all of its accessories. I.e sensor bar, HDMI, gamepad charger, etc. they were trying to replace the console which WASN’T required! I don’t want to replace it. A replacement ISN’T required. Staff behind the desk gave me attitude once I said that I wasn’t trying to replace the console, just the power cable. I was told that the power cable failure was covered under the warranty
Staff at Tuggeranong not as friendly or helpful as other branches. They had a particular item showing in stocks on their website but got a gruff short and sharp response from staff when we enquired about it. Belconnon staff very helpful in contrast.
Shopped here for the first time today, and the two staff that helped me with trading in my old switch and some other old tech for a new OLED switch, were so kind and helpful! They were there to answer all of my questions, and knew what they were talking about. I bought the "boxed" version of the switch, and its in brand new condition which I was pleasantly surprised with. Definitely reccomend!
Never know what you'll find here. Rare old movies regularly can be bought for a dollar. Games for no longer supported consoles. Once found the entire Firefly set movie and show for $1. If you can't find it anywhere else, you can probably get it here for cheaper than you thought.
Massive variety of games, DVDs/Blu-Rays, gaming consoles, computers, mobile phones and accessories. Prices are near-unbeatable. This place is a must-visit for those after most things technology.
EDIT#3 - FOUND OUT THERE PRICES ARE EQUAL TO "MSY FYSHWICK'S" NEW PRICES. HOW CAN THEY SELL USED PRODUCTS AT NEW PRICES!!! EDIT - 3 weeks later the price has dropped...surprise surprise! Overpriced, faulty hardware! I enquired about an Asus strix rx570 gpu, wondering if the $220 price was negotiable and was told strictly No due to supply and demand...even after I inform the staff member that there cheaper brand new currently $199 on ebay Also i want to note that the RTX3000 series & "Big NAVI" gpu have just been released so the prices new+used will fall further in the coming weeks. And to add a further sour taste, I purchased 2 gskill ram sticks which turned out that only 1 works ‍ Great testing & knowledge there guys.
I love coming here for secondhand movies - they have a huge range and sell most of the dvds for very cheap. The staff are really nice and helpful. Altho I would not come here to buy electronics unless it's like a cheap pair of earphones, the two phones I bought from there broke within a month. In saying that tho, my brother bought a surface pro from them and it lasted him more than three years. I'm still giving 5 stars tho, because of the awesome customer service and easy access to movies.
Well buy electronic, media, audio, gaming, mobile phones, etc. Items have been thoroughly tested and come with a 90 day warranty, but only a 7 day refund offer, otherwise voucher will be issued on products returned. CEX application on Play Store and Apple to check items and prices they will pay or store credit as well as selling prices. Handy for those needing to pay bills, etc.
