The metro platforms, 26 and 27, are located deep underground. It’s true that these escalators are the longest in the Southern Hemisphere—they are giant! I’ll post some photos with this review, but you really need to see them in person.nnThe metro is fast, and everything looks modern, making it a great addition to NSW transport
Well I think the last time I used Central, it was looking pretty old and in need of some TLC.nAnd now, wow!nI really love how parts of the old stations character and history have been retained, whilst building this subterranean network below with incredibly cool entry ways.nKudos to all involved over the years for this transformation.nI came in from the North Coast and so easily transferred to the airport train after a short walk and change of platforms.nThe staff were really friendly and the place was clean and looking good.nWell done, Sydney.
Central Station & metro platform 26 & 27 are the heartbeat of Sydney's transport network! It's incredibly well-connected, making it easy to get around the city and beyond. Whether you're catching a train, metro, light rail, or bus, everything is conveniently located and well-signposted.nnThe recent upgrades have made a huge difference – the station is now modern, clean, and more user-friendly. The new metro platforms are sleek and efficient, with fast trains and plenty of space. It’s great to see Sydney embracing this level of transport innovation.nnThere are also plenty of amenities, including cafes and seating areas, making it a pleasant place to wait for your ride. While the station can get busy during peak hours, it’s a testament to how vital it is to Sydney’s daily life.nnOverall, Central Station is a perfect mix of history, convenience, and modern design. A great example of how a transport hub should work!
The biggest train station not only in Sydney but in total Australia. That's why it’s called Central, Central Station. This station is huge in size and capabilities.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Ahmed, a member of the train station staff, for his incredible help in retrieving my belongings from the railway tracks. When I accidentally dropped my items, I was understandably stressed, but Ahmed acted quickly and with great care to ensure they were safely recovered. His professionalism, calm demeanor, and willingness to go the extra mile made a potentially difficult situation much easier to handle. I'm truly grateful for his quick thinking and dedication. Thank you, Ahmed, for your outstanding support! He is working in central platform 18.
