WW2 pillbox at northern end is in such poor condition : nice bush though. Met a few friendly faces as I released a blackbird I had rehabilitated

An amazing oasis for families wishing to escape suburbia, great walking tracks through native bush and birds, a secret spot half way up the North shore.

Many well-maintained tracks to explore. Dogs and kids friendly.

Pretty good hour walk around. Educational parts for kids showing different plants and trees.  Cool war pod and fairly easy pathways.  Little slippery in wet weather to be expected.  Half way through you can't see houses and forget you're in the middle of occupied land.
